This is the C64 emulator used by speedruns.net On a random weird note, the filesize is 1337 KBs.

Voting yes. Some notes: Does this game have an end? I didn't see any credits in the Youtube video. I liked the fact that the load times were removed in the Youtube video, and I think the publication should have them removed also. I also liked the little touch in the first level, where the letters of SKATE spelt a word each time (A, AT, ATE, KATE, SKATE). This is the only way to do it, besides A, AT, S AT, S ATE, SKATE, which isn't as appealing. However, I would rather see a speedrun of THPS 1, for several reasons: Better music All tapes must be collected to reach credits Would be shorter It's the original game Competitions could be shorter You don't collect stat points, you win them with tapes

So... You want people to give you videos that you could use?

Well, his name would be wrong if he were trying to spell Biscuit, but he's not. Saying, "It's wrong because Biscuit is spelled differently" is basically like saying, "It's wrong because Paraffinnic is spelt differently". He wasn't trying to spell either, so it doesn't matter.

Is any celebration or recognition planned for movie #1000? Will publication be stalled until an extremely good movie comes, so it can be made #1000?

I definitely saw a TAS of this somewhere on TASvideos, but I don't recall where. I remember that it was on Youtube, and the screen was almost covered with Japanese subtitles.

Technically it can be beaten. After 0-1, you go back to the title screen and the game thinks it has been "beaten".

If 25% of Canadian teens have seen a TAS, that makes 1 million in Canada alone.

Admittedly there are potential improvements, but the size and complexity of the game makes it unlikely anyone would want to work on it for months for an improvement of 1-2 minutes.

That would be somewhere in the range of 99.99999999...99%.
Ever the pessimist, Novoter. In my classroom, not including the people I have shown TASes, about 25% have seen one.

You shouldn't make a movie longer for the sake of having an entertaining frame count.

I voted no. Out of curiousity, what country did your cousin get married in?

Probably won't be obsoleted in the next 3 years.

It's an N64 game, so it's not measurable. I'm just using it as an example for the speeds one can reach with cheats in the game.

I thought about it for a long time before but decided it was not worth it. Suicune has HM support but has the worst attacking stats of the 3. The others don't have HM support. Also, you have to learn Rock Smash, fight two trainers to release them, then manipulate the one you want into the nearest grassy area, get to it, and get them to show up, and manipulate its DVs.
I did some calculations, and oddly, any legendary dog would end up at level 63* anyway, because they're so slow in gaining levels. I believe Pokémon Gold is a run that will never be obsoleted. *EDIT: The level that Graveler finishes at.

You know you go to the arcade too much when the staff tells you if a high score has been beaten(Truth).

Our movies got published in the same week, despite mine being submitted 2 months before Biospark's. The time they were published was 2 months before my May 5th birthday. When's Biospark's birthday?

What's the rule on cheat codes? F1 world cup has a cheat where you name your driver "Pyrite", giving him unlimited acceleration. On the German track, which is basically a huge straightaway with turns on each end, I achieved a speed of 1023 kilometers/hour (slightly under the speed of sound!). This had the amusing result that the car stopped dead, resulting in every single thing that could break off, breaking off. The effect was of the car exploding. Very entertaining.

At 14, and the youngest (to my knowledge) person with a movie published here, my vote is obvious.

Very fun. I liked especially the part around 14:00, "Don't hurt me - BLARGH!" KA-BOOM!!!!! On a side note, who here tried to hold their breath through the entire underwater part? (I did, and I succeeded.)

Is your point that the movie is slower, but was accepted anyway? I think for the pursuit of perfection to be true, even tiny improvements must be accepted.

I remain suspicious that there is a way to talk to Bowser after the third fight, while being set up to jump. In this way, ~7 seconds would be taken off .m64 length.

Does Qix for NES have an end? If so, this could be good for the concept. Luck-manipulation is utter insanity. Also, the name catches on: Qix done Quick.
