Do you mean FCEU.exe, or the ROM? 800 posts!

What would the other 5 be? But seriously. In my "directories" thing, all the paths are blank. Do I have to have the game running, or nothing running, or what?

Run FCEU, go file -> open -> the ROM.

You need .nes ROM files. The tasvideos policy is not to give out ROMs, but a google search of NES ROMs with "I'm feeling lucky" should work fine.

Perhaps there could be a run that abuses Laser massively, to be published alongside this and the warp one?

I can't find that file. What folder would it be in? My assumption was "sav", but there's nothing in there.

As you may have noticed, I haven't worked on this in like 4 months. The reason is simple: I can't get SMB2j to work. It loads fine when I open it up on the first go, but I get "Disc error 22" when I replay the movie. I have a vague sense fixing the problem has something to do with "erasing SRAM", but I have no clue how to do this. If someone helps me with this, I'll probably have the run done within a month or two. This run has the highest ratio of "I want it done" to "Damn this is frustrating" of all my runs. Considering how frustrating this run is, you see I'm pretty serious.

I just noticed this topic. Would you say it's too boring for publication? If yes, I'll stop working on my run, I'm not far enough to care.

I hereby nominate Time Zone (J) for NES for the "Weirdest physics award". As speedrunning goes, it's optimal, but it also is quite entertaining as a superplay. This is world 1 of 6, and if I weren't so swamped already I'd be TASing this. Of the 2600 rerecords, about 1500 were dedicated to the dodging in the last level.

A 3-minute intro is not a part of this healthy TAS. However, the stunningly fast motion through levels was enough for me to give this the weakest of yesses.

It's quite a game for patience, sitting around waiting for things to be built. But fun. EDIT: Does energy and such keep being collected when you're not logged on?

Would you rather see a rerecording emulator for PS2, Gamecube, or Windows 98?

The problem with looking for "makes sense" is that a lot of runs make no sense. Hell, some submission texts even say, "If ______ happens, no, it's not a desynch".

It's able to, but doesn't, in the case of R/B/Y. I've done the bug on my red version in my GBA before. However, if you tried it in Firered or w/e, yes, you'd be fucked.

:(. I think most of my GB/GBA TASes are too far along for remaking, however, my Densetsu no Stafy run was a little unoptimised so I think I'll remake that on v20.

Gameshark. The trainer-fly glitch doesn't work.

This game looks similar, conceptually at least, to Wrecking Crew, which I'm TASing. I'll watch this and post my comments soon.

I think the question should be "Do you think this movie should be published?" True, we shouldn't have a standard of "80% and you're in", but it should be at the judge's discretion. However, it would still be a "democracy" in the sense that most first-world countries are democracies. In most "democratic" countries, including Finland, Canada, America and Japan, the polls sway the politicians, but do not directly influence them. However, the voters choose the politicians. However, a vote for judges on tasvideos would be a popularity contest, so I say: When it comes to making judges, benevolent dictatorship. When it comes to publishing movies, Canadian/Finnish/whatever-style democracy.

No, on principle that I favor realtime over ingame time, always (Hell, in theory you could make a Pokémon run with 0 real time, but it would be 256 hours long)
You do understand there are two direct contradictions in this post, right? %)
Mistake. Fixed.
