Was his name Peppy, by any chance?
No, Psy. However, others have reported that it was fake.

Actually, I remember there being a boycott by a bunch of Christians sometime because of the whole witchcraft thing.

You do know they go to school for 7 years, right? Rowling said this would be the last HP book, except maybe a "Wizarding Encyclopedia".

Unfortunately, all the systems which new games are being made for don't have rerecording emulators yet. This video looks pretty well-optimized, and it's quite different from the US version. Yes vote.

More than you know... The game crashes on an emulator if you load the same state more than 5 times. It was pretty frustrating.

Um, given that there are 5 no votes and no "yes" or "meh" votes, I suppose I'll cancel this.

Wait a minute. The opponent gets to place a few troops. Maybe it would be best to have Red attack Green, and vice-versa, so I have no major opposition left when the second turn starts.

In Goblet of Fire, Harry writes, in a letter to Sirius: "They told him they'd have to cut his pocket money if he keeps [buying donuts], so he got really angry and chucked his PlayStation out the window. That's a sort of computer thing you can play games on. Bit stupid really, now he hasn't even got Mega-Mutilation Part Three to take his mind off things." (Page 27-28) Goblet of Fire was published in July 2000, and the PS2 was released in Britain in November of 2000, so it does seem consistent with modern events.

Hell, I love the Monopoly runs. And I think the Pokémon Blue run, which will involve walking through walls and glitching level 100 pokémon, will be one of the best on the site.

Dammit, I just realized that that's a GREAT idea. I guess I'll remake the movie. Should I finish my current run, or just restart? I think I know all I need to now, so I could just restart...

Harry: So, Mr. Ollivander, you say that with years of training I might be able to stun some people with this wand. Ollivander: Yes. Harry's answer: I'll take it! Smart answer: Can you direct me to a store that sells Kalashnikov assault rifles? I've always thought that wizards have put too much confidence in their wands. The "old magic" caused by Lily dying for her son blocks that rockin-wild "new magic" used by wands. However, it never strikes Voldemort, or his followers, for seventeen fucking years, to buy a .357 and blow Harry's brains out.

Very good run, Primo. No offense, but, I thought you didn't have time to work on the Pokémon Blue run. Now you TAS Green? I suppose it is simpler, but progress has been pretty slow on Pokémon Blue. I presume you'll be working on Pokémon Blue after this? Yes vote.

Allow me to say: My luck is fucking HORRIBLE. I've done 125 different frame-starts for the Ural-Ukraine fight (only the frame at which the fight starts affects the RNG) and nothing has worked yet. I'll keep trying, though.

I'm not surprised. Many games have similar errors, especially on the NES. In Super Mario Bros. 2, after getting 255 lives the lives count goes down to 0. It might be funny to do a "gag" run that gets a score of 255-1, then scores 1 more run and loses. But only the ending part would be funny, the rest would take too long.

I finished reading it before it even came out, thanks to the Internet and generous factory workers. I found this very useful, as I could leverage power over people by threatening to reveal who dies. But on the whole, I agree with Lag.com Why do authors kill so fucking many people at the end of their series? I mean, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ends with the Earth being blown up in every dimension that ever existed. It's like they're trying to tie up all the loose ends. BTW, lagdotcom, what does "twee" mean?

Seems somewhat simplistic compared to games like Spore, which is what I'm looking forward to. Concept is nice, but seems a little graphically limited by modern standards. On another complexity note, how many levels are there?

By "possible" I meant with cheats, not possible normally. The game code doesn't lie.

I would bet a lot of money it's possible. However, if it's difficult even with Moon Jump, I doubt it's feasible.

I don't blame the people in big cities for electing Bush. I blame the people in smaller population centres. Like the 2,000 people in that one Ohio town, 100,000 of whom voted for Bush. - Anonymous

I think this is what he means: If you used a cheat code of some description to go up to where the 2nd star is, would the star be there, even though the tower to get there is not? I'm good at interpreting Rrdigway's weird brain-craps :) I used Toad's Tool, and it seems that if there were some way to get that high without climbing, the star would be there. The only methods I can think of with any chance in hell of working are triple-jumping off the boss' head, or BLJing on the blue Thwomp.

That involves using Pokémon stadium or an as-yet-undiscovered bug, and it doesn't seem quicker than just using the bike-on-water bug.

Is there a .smv somewhere? I want to fight Bowser in this hack, to see if it's meant to have just 1 hit for round 1, but I'll never beat this game.

I think the game where bots would have the most success is Fire Hawk's Rescue minigame, because the game actually says, "Hit A" or "Hit B" at the opportune moment.

Quick question here, as there doesn't seem to be a tetris thread: What memory address is score stored in?
