True. As a matter of perspective, this improvement is like a 4.5 second improvement to a Super Mario Bros. run. The current is considered perfect. We shaved off a couple seconds with walk-through-walls, and another few with left+right, and each time people were like, WHOA! The 0.07 % improvement to SMB2 had a first comment of

Ow. This is even worse than what Phil did to Sleepz. Unfortunately, a precedent has been set. Yes.

Yay! I was somewhat worried about Risk, as the setup time is maybe 1 minute, but it seems there's very good support of the concept. But, due to slow progress and a rather busy day, I'm going to stretch the WIP deadline 6 hours. On another note, there is Clue alone for SNES, which might be interesting in its sheer speed (Probably under 25 seconds)

Umm... The old video is under 100 minutes. The improvement is over 1 minute. By definition, it's more than 1% different. Anyway, this run uses an utterly different route.

I'll have a test-run up in 24 hours.

It seems the RNG is much more complex than I expected, and has a great deal of effect on the couches in level 4. It seems that by luck, my current run has optimized these couches. My best run now loses so much time on level 4, I think I'll just let the current run stay up.

In the spirit of the old Monopoly runs, how about a run that beats 3 classic boardgames through ludicrous luck-manipulation and knowledge? I'll get working on a test run, see what I can do.

His run was decent. I improved it 2 3/4 seconds. I do not grab 1 speed power-up, because doing so results in going too much out of control. The finish is reached only 5 frames faster, but I deliberately crash to slow down, so the after-race thing is reached much faster. I wonder if this game a hard-reset bug like Pokémon Red and Blue?

The game is very questionable, and your run is unquestionably bad. Test runs should raise interest, not flatten it. As a favor to you, I'll try to speed it up to see how interesting it is.

I beat normal with no leaks - My strategy is to build 2 lines of cheap towers that connect the 2 lines of creeps, then build a spiral circling a few super-upgraded towers. EDIT: I tried Hard mode with this strat, and it works fairly well, but it's leakier than Karl Rove when it comes to fliers. I'll see if I can have an AA in the middle.

What's THAT supposed to mean, exactly? On-topic, NICE RUN! I was expecting 30 seconds - 1 minute improvement. You've exceeded my expectation by a fair bit.

Do you mean, squirt tower? Most of the level 10 group got past. I believe you're wrong.

Some say Easy in Desktop TD is far too simple. Well, they're right: The only leaks were all the Darks, unsurpisingly, and 2 bosses (The flier and 1 of the group bosses)

You might want to use Google Video instead of Youtube, as Youtube doesn't allow videos more than 10 minutes long. Google Video has no limit.

Do you mean unassisted speedrun? You should send that in to speeddemosarchive.com to see if they accept it.

Odd. You mentioned you don't get "ding-donged" in midair, which indicates parts of the programming are different in the (E) version. If you want the NTSC version, get it off the American Ebay website (ebay.com)

My method was just running and throwing a shot that hits all 3 enemies, then tossing back.

Bittorrent is a major problem when downloading large, unpopular or old movies. I've often seen over 50 seeds on the tasvideos site, but only about 10 seeds for me. Or worse, 5 seeds on tasvideos but 1 for me.

When you're BLJing, must you have the joystick all the way back or could you have it only slightly backwards and get more speed?

I came here to post about a faster star for the 16 star TAS, BUT IT'S NOT HAPPENING, IS IT?

I agree with ZeXr0. The final cup TAS was awesome, a full run will be MINDBLOWING!

Well, there goes all our planning... I don't much see the point if we can't score over 100. I mean, there are opening draws that score over 120! I.E. CAZIQUE, BEZIQUE or MUZJIKS. What were they thinking, not even allowing for the possibility of someone putting down "Quiz[z]es" on a triple word score? (Yes, that has happened to me).

My guess is that the bug has been fixed in the European version. I'll look for the European ROM to see if I can confirm this. BTW, is the version you're using in Dutch or English?

Don't worry, I've done it on console. In fact, the part about walking through walls in the Safari building (and otherwise being stuck) was discovered entirely by accident on my GB.

The simplest approach is to jump a various frames and see when he gets furthest with a jump, but RAM watch is better.

It's not possible. My assumption was that you could go past the axe. But it doesn't load Princess Peach and her area until the axe is hit.
