Through where? Run left to where? Do you mean running when you are inside the wall? If so, that's impossible.
I oppose you. I'll post a video that just does the first level of SMB3, running left through a wall.

I've been thinking more about TASing this game. Rridgway is something of an expert at this game, and has found an odd glitch. If you put someone in a helicopter and shoot down the helicopter as you collect intel, you can get the intel twice. Also, if you sharply turn a Sungri Scout and hit something it goes flying, which could be used to get over obstacles in a TAS. Rrigdway will attempt an unassisted, single-segment speedrun sometime next week.

The probability of manipulating THAT is about 1000000000000000000000 to 1 For level 1. For the higher levels, the chance is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 to 1. In any case, one of my goals was to not luck-manipulate crystal position because it's more entertaining that way.

NONONO!!!!!!! You don't enter the game. You don't see after game stats. You see a list of 162 games and you see 1 game on the list at a time go from not played to played. You press the button once and play the whole season. Then it says "Congratulations on getting to the playoffs". You press "clear" for this and then do "simulate all" for the playoffs. Then you do "movie end", and you win 11 straight. The 11 straight is the hard part, assuming a 50% chance of winning the odds are 2048 to 1 against. Tricky to manipulate, but you'll get there. On the baseball note, who made this movie? The precision is such that it must be TAS, or a well-faked clip.

Chamale, you may get some competition with this run. EDIT: I have a new strategy that should be able to be 50-70 seconds faster than my last submission. But it will take time to optimize/make entertaining. Also, I am working on another project too, so who knows when I will finish this. So, good luck.
What, exactly, is the strategy? And about the other project, you have no idea... Look at my signature!

Perhaps you don't understand the concept. All baseball games have a "season" mode. Pick this game, and there's a screen with all 162 games your team will play. Most games have a "simulation" mode. When you pick this mode, it plays a game in 1 second, and you stay on the season screen. It would take 3 minutes, and you would enjoy watching more and more improbable wins. At the end of the season, you would look at the awards that had been won, then enter the playoffs. You would do a burst of manipulating, then simulate the playoffs and end the movie.

Here's the idea: Start a season immediately, and do a simulation mode to run through every game. Luck-manipulate between games to win all 162, then right as the playoffs start do a burst of manipulation and end the movie, then go on to win the world series. If I can get Mupen to work on my crappy computer, I might work on this sometime, but if anyone else wants to practice luck-manipulation they can go for it.

Unfortunately, it seems the glitch I spent hours looking for doesn't work! Rather than warp you to the last level, it warps you to the start of level 1-1. So I'll stop this run, leaving behind the gem that if you press up+down on a door over a vase you'll enter the vase in Subcon one frame faster. Now that this is off the pile o' five, I'll start working on Tom and Jerry.

Why not write the word THIS, have the AI write IS, write A, have the AI write TOOL, ASSISTED, AI writes SPEED, you write RUN?

As a 14-year-old, I can shed a bit of light on the "kids-scarred-forever" point. I've seen several R-rated movies, for gore, nudity, etc. I believe the first time I saw a movie rated 14A was when I was 6, and the first R-rated movie was when I was 12. I won't be horrified by two badly animated bear rapidly going from one sprite to another while near each other. About the movie itself: It was a good improvement, that one fight where they were tigers looked unoptimized because one was sitting there, but otherwise very entertaining.

I'm still working on figuring out the hex-editing programs, but also taking a risk by continuing work on the run with the bad rom and hoping it won't desync... The bad rom run is past level 3 and has the superspin attack. The superspin is a much faster way of moving than just swimming, and is used for most of the run. WIP in a minute. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/883950747/0579%20-%20Densetsu%20no%20Stafy%20%28J%29%20%28Eurasia%29.vbm

Evidently no one else found that entertaining. What's really good is to run around and getting big comboes. Lots of people are entertained by different things. Like my JP3 run that only I liked.

Yeah... My first run used various weird comboes, at one point throwing Simon and a trash can at the same time, so they hit in midair. However, it turns out most of the hits were unproductive. Once he has 0 health you need to knock him down, let him up, repeat.

I think it's less entertaining, because the people just stand there and whack the enemies. Compare it to my test runs, which have much more running around, and are 15% faster.

Sounds good! IDK how fast I can make this, but if each fight is this fast I could improve it by up to 90 seconds. Wow that's optimistic...

Are you sure they can be "reached"? With my route, you can spell: Jun Conjunct Conjunctiva Bat Be Awe Was Ohs (H is blank) Em Graph Autograph Radioautograph Gannet No Go Ho Lei (L is blank) Finikin Fade We Wry Oxy Methoxy Methoxyflurane Oe Or Er Spelt Leet (Yes, I did deliberately save Spell and Leet for last) Lib Librate Disequilibrate And, finally, Demythologizers. If we could master luck-manipulation, I think it would be really funny to have the computer spell all the really high-scoring words while the player spells Oe, Or and Er in 3 moves. Then, with one fell swoop, utter victory. If there's a resignation function, the movie could end right there as all the points rack up.

I am, but I made some test runs first. I'm currently optimizing the grabbing of a trash can about 1200 frames in.

I beat my own record by 6 seconds, thanks to memory watch. Also, no control pingponging. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/143927123/RCRFinalbosstest2.fcm

I think the best thing for that video would be to see the blooper reel... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yqw_8lvwmT4&mode=related&search=

Well, I imagine it would be a build-up to something like this. Fastest time to achieve the highest-scoring move possible.

What's the memory address for y location? I've spent hours and 5,000 rerecords trying to execute this one glitch I'm beginning to doubt is possible.
