I think it looks really smooth, entertainment was done well. However at this point you are 42 frames slower than me, and while I know they don't obsolete these kind of runs based solely on time differences I doubt they will publish a slower movie. I think you should try again though, and try to keep an eye on my run to not fall behind and to try to save time. And here is a extremely helpful lua script for the game (can be run on snes9x Improvement 12) which I only had for the last 2 levels, it will help you greatly if you use it.

Also, question to Hero or Cpadolf: any word on how soon we can expect your guys's 100% run?
It is being worked on but the progress isn't consistent, sometimes it can stand still for a long time so I can't really estimate when it will be done. And the run was restarted about a month ago since we decided to optimize door entries for realtime, and now we are almost at the place where we restarted v1 (having saved ~8 realtime seconds) which is about a quarter of the way. I wouldn't expect the run to be complete before the end of august.

I'm probably wrong, but I keep thinking that there may be a powerbomb somewhere in Norfair that can be received without super missiles. In addition, the kejardon movie didn't collect the speed booster
Well you can't get to norfair without supers in the first place, and yes kejardon skipped the speedbooster but without it you have to do a crystal flash to enter tourian and that requires 2 missiles 2 super missiles and 3 power bombs, so that get's higher than 7% anyway.

Uhm the torizo skip wasn't even known at that time so it's got nothing to do with laziness.

Yeah I was quite surprised when I broke that block in 7-4/C-4, the previous movie didn't.

'm a little fuzzy on the restriction of the wall sink glitch. Making it so that it's ok to go through a wall, but not to get stuck in the wall just seems odd to me.
Well as far as I understood the restriction was not really to disallow going through walls or being in walls, the restriction was not to perform warp glitches (which involves being in walls). I think that it is not to arbitrary. Anyway, I can agree that it dragged on somewhat towards the end, it's good that it is not longer than it is, but it was really entertaining for most of the time and I was never tempted to fast forward at any point.

Really nice and (for me at least) unexpected glitching to the last boss, and a VERY entertaining fight indeed. Seems well worked through and very optimal so a yes vote for a separate category for this run from me.

The game has a internal clock that counts actual gametime. (a.i it does not increment during door transitions, item pickups the intro or during lag frames) The goal of my movie is to finish the game with the lowest possible time counted by that internal timer, thus I take a rout that has more doors and more items to pick up, because the time added by that is not taken into account. The goal of hero of the days movie on the other hand is to simply finish the game as fast as possible, a.i making the actual movie as short as possible. So basically the difference is the route. Which one is more entertaining is subjective, mine has a higher average entertainment rating but you might like the other one better. But I deeply recomend you to watch both instead of just picking one :)

What? The glitch is that at certain positions if I shoot on the earliest possible frame all the time every other shot is a blank, I loose a supermissile but i doesn't actually leave the armcannon (I think it exists for 1 frame and then disperses for some reason.)

Found a weird glitch today, my guess is that it has something to do with screen positioning but I don't really know. And it only seem to work in very specific places (only know one room so far, and in that it only works in one direction and not at all positions). Hmm...

Yes but the thing is that it wasn't a L+R walljump (I have the smv).

So... that's it? Is that seriously the new route for the game?...You can't possibly tell me that even an optimized run of that route would obsolete the current run right?
The way I see it is that it is faster which mean it is less of the boringness OoT brings (to watch, it's a great game. But not for speerunning or TASing, not that I don't want people breakig it further). And really the only pleasure I found in the old run (besides JXQ's oscar worthy commentary) where seeing it so completely demolished. And this new route does that*1000, so all the better. The only other category I could find viable for this game is either a 100% run or a all temples run. Maybe both if the all tempels run still where allowed to completely break the tempels (not that I would watch them anyay...).

Bleh, as if the ammo management wasn't annoying enough already :/ But other than that a very nice addition to the run.

Well you just need to find where your savestates of Super Metroid are put, most likely they are in the same directory as the emulator. IIRC the extension of the files are .000-.009 depending on which savestate it is.

Well you need to re-equip it id you need to de-equip it in the first place. It reduces damage by a lot (like 50% or so). And you need the energy. But can't you just shinespark up the lava lake?

If doing so you would do WS normally up to the point of going back through the attic after that missile on the right edge, and glitch in to the gravity room. I dounbt it is faster but it'll be worth looking in to. EDIT: Oh, taco tells me you can go down from outside the top half of WS lake room, so it might work out if the glitch does not take to long to set up. EDIT again: I think that breaking in to gravity the wrong way needs X-ray :/
