The problem is that gravity is not actually there untill phantoon is dead... I don't know if any WS items are.

This is quite well known, and I don't know any uses for it except for lolz.

Left+Right has been used that way throughout the 100% run, also that new jumptech down to the missiles is the only improvement I know for the run... so bummer I missed it :/ EDIT: Seems that it added some doorlag, so it is 1 frame slower in realtime. Phew :)

Well that new Dead or Alive movie is totally hilarious and awesome. But then again the only reason it is good is that it sucks in such a grand manor.

BFG. The best thing in the movie, actually.
Yeah but they named it Bio Force Gun, everyone knows that's not the real name...

I think he's referring to 'every game ever made'. As mentioned in the original post. Sometimes you don't need to look very far.

I vote for a screenshot on the final boss, even though he is technically never seen in the movie...

Edit: I think you kinda misunderstood what I was trying to say here: the timesaver is indeed not special, I never implied that, I just pointed out that it looks very similar to the normal method when you watch it in realtime.
Indeed, I only saw it once I was told it was there :p

I see Namespoofer was right after all; even if he would release the WIP, it'd be hard to notice the timesaver that I accidently spoiled, unless it's pointed out for them. No worries though, it'll be highlighted in our any% WIP, no doubt.
As I already pointed out earlier your little timesaver was not existent in the WIP I posted, it ended at the missile lake. And besides, the timesaver is not THAT special...

Well that good then, he asked me for it and I was uncertain... But it seems I was right :)

Still, who knows… he might grow into another Cpadolf in a year. :)
Well you should have seen how his first try a few months ago looked like, in that case I think you would have been much more impressed, he is improving over himself very nicely.

It didn't contain anything you wouldnt want anybody to see. Just so you know. It ended at the missile lake. (The reason I removed it was because I thought there where some other problem I did not know of, now I know the real reason) EDIT: Lol, and down we go again... sorry for the mess

Hmm, that is weird. I wonder what determines on which doors it makes a difference or not. Also for those wondering he is working on a low% speedbooster route TAS. It's turning out pretty good.

In what way did he prove that a different subpixel can change doorlag (I can't check because for some reason I have been unable to connect to M2K2 for a couple of days)? I don't think that I have ener experienced that, however at some door (think it was the Green Brinstar CWJ room) unspinning at a different time changed lag. (exited with the same subpixel) Maybe pixel positioning can change it though but it still seems a little random since pretty much no door is affected by it, if they are affected by it at all.

I guess the only realistic somewhat 100%ish run would be all caracters before kefka, at most all caracters and all magicite. Such a run if made should also in my opinion ban insta death magic such as vanish+doom and joker doom(joker death?).

Finally saved that last theoretical frame on the torizoskip. By unspinnig later I enter the room 1 frame earlier but still land on the same frame, this let me get to the bombs without delaying anything in the room. Hooray

Yeah I noticed soon after I posted the run that I forgot to press movie stop after finishing it, and left it on record while fastforwarding to the clocktime, pretty silly misstake :) I still think 00:48 should be relatively easy, it just feels like there are a lot of room for improvement every here and there, maybe I'm wrong. I probably won't submit it here though since I've already asked one time and got a clear no as an answer. I would feel pretty stupid to post it anyway. Also thanks in advance for encoding a good avi file :p

So it works from standstill even if jumping low, I thought it was restricted to some speeds. Really cool anyway.

You can't get spacejump untill after the WS supers (one beetom takes 6 of them) and between there and the point where I do pick it up the only place you have use for it is the big room before draygon, and I cleared that quite quickly anyway as you can see. Grabing spacejump early would take much loger too, since supers takes longer to fire and I would have needed to manipulate the beetoms to jump in a group, and it would leave me with less Supers for marida.

I liked the close call at ridley's doorstep
Well how about taking speedbooster with 3 tanks, I only had 2 hp left at the refill :) Also some points of notice. Ridleys KO grab is the fastest evah, 10+ frames faster than in Saturns RBO. (and it could have been 3 frames faster still, but I needed to manipulate drops) And I finally found a use for that turnaround glitch I discovered that works for other runs. At the baby metroid skip, should save 4+ frames and works for every run. (and might work at other places for some runs)
