http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/67443192914117791 This does not use left+right, but still demonstrates how this trick could save time. This movie must be played on Pellsson ROM which is used for RTA practice.

If runs like SMB1 -3 world ending and SML hard mode can be accepted, why not this?

I thought that this is more entertaining, and is more different to the good ending run, and that might be enough for publication.

Dang it, I had an idea that could improve the warps, warpless, and all items tas by RTA timing, but probably requires waiting on the title screen for a long time. It involves getting a cheep cheep to bounce off of right when stopping at the turnaround in 8-4. Edit: According to Periwinkle, I only need to wait for a few frames in 8-4, which means that those TASes are actually maybe beatable, even in TAS timing!

If an SMB TAS beats another one by RTA timing, but has to wait on the title screen for a long time to manipulate luck, would it be allowed to obsolete?

There's no easy way to define high score. There's obviously the koopa-stair trick that gives you a bunch of points. If you ban that, then you stop and kick a koopa repeatedly into a wall. If you ban that, then you can wait until the last frame before a koopa wakes up and then kick it to score 8000 points.

Improved the old TAS by 82 frames? Did I accidentally lose a frame in 8-4?

According to the red text in https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1GW411471z?from=search&seid=15486284189301345610, the old TAS only used chatterbox's input in 3-2, for which I redid and used my own input.

For some reason FCEUX outputs the avi in multiple parts, so I must edit them together

I don't know how to edit a 60fps video, so it is 30fps.

I knew that those 9 frames weren't because of entertainment, or at least 6 of them weren't. That's because 6 of them came from the first mushroom grab, and I hit the exact same coin blocks as the old TAS did, so it's just suboptimal movement. And I'm not that of a new TASer, since I did make a 1-1 as Fire Mario TAS and an AEPLLG (game genie code) TAS before, as shown on my YouTube channel.
