I noticed you never replied to my post that, ya know, demonstrates how the FDA works, and why they aren't shitting themselves for this drug. Or, this one: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/burzynski1.html Or, the wikipedia article that details where Burzynski has broken the law. Yeah.

Results don't lie. Not only that, but other "important" figures like Oprah have backed this specific scientist up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Oprah is some superpower that decides what is true and what is false, but she is someone with a very high status in the country. I'm fairly certain she wouldn't back up someone labeled as a fraud.
Riiiiiight..... Also, Oprah is the best scientist ever!

I could go on a rant here, but I'm going to keep this short, as this entire video is a waste of time. #1: This uses appeals to emotion from the get go, dramatic music and the death of a child. If you want to get me to believe something, don't use dirty tactics. #2: These Drugs are currently in Phase II clinical trials. This is the way the FDA works. It takes A TON of work to get through the FDA, and for good reason - Americans throw a shit fit if even one drug comes out with possible side effects. See the history of Vioxx for what happens when a drug gets through to the market, with possible complications. #3: There is something in America called "Standard of Care", which keeps doctors in the dark ages for medicine. Basically, you have to perform the standard protocol of treatment, or face medical malpractice.. For example, the neurosurgeon mentioned by Jodi Fenton, had to undergo 16 years of post-high school education (4 years premed, 4 years med school, 8 year residency) to gain his position. Is he going to risk all that time he spent on an unknown drug? Hell no. Blame sue-happy Americans, not the doctors. #4: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/burzynski1.html #5: As Warp said, if this drug were truly this Amazing Cure All Cancer, there are 100s of other countries in the world that would pick it up. Yeah, bah, this movie angers me.

The other issue is that this may very well just be an error in the emulation of the team-player attachment. Without testing this on a console, requiring a genesis, team player adapter, and a copy of bible adventures, I'd be hard pressed to believe in the legitimacy of it.

It turns out that the 'R' technique is much slower than the item technique for RNG manipulation.

Mods, if you really, truly feel like removing the entire contents of a post is absolutely necessary (which I personally believe should only be the case for things like blatant spam and illegal content, but I'm not making that argument here) please just delete the post (and contact the user privately to let them know why). Replacing it in its entirety, as above (and unsigned, too!) just makes everyone wonder what it said and feel like the mods are being autocratic.
It is clear after deleting three posts, that it was not going to stem the derailment, and thus, I decided to edit Fabian's post to show that I was actively moderating the thread. I tried to leave as much of the relevant discussion intact, while removing the direct and non-relevant personal attacks against both slowking and I, as well as removing useless commentary. Things that were removed from that thread included personal attacks, commentary on how the thread was going negatively, and now, recently, commentary on how the thread was being moderated. None of these things pertain to TASes of OoT. I am not perfect, and I just did the best I could to try and fix the issue, and force the thread from continuing its downward trend after the video I posted. All that said, I took your advice and signed the post.

You really don't listen, do you? He couldn't use bloobs original rupee route, since that manipulation won't hex. So he did a suboptimal one himself. And he probably didn't get the water HISS to hex either, since it's very desynch prone and to my knowledge Bloob is the only one who ever got that slide to work to begin with. So he used a suboptimal method here as well. Just because he simply can't hex or directly replicate some small parts doesn't mean he didn't do it where he could.
Just because he simply could hex or directly replicate some small parts doesn't mean he did. You are making a pretty hefty accusation on this TASer. The burden of proof is on YOU to demonstrate where he clearly copied input. You've levied two accusations on this TASer, (fraud and theft), and have done nothing other than bray about it. I was hoping that TAS would spark discussion about differences and possible changes, not typical OoT fan vitriol towards the Japanese TASers. YOU are currently treading thin water. If you continue to throw around baseless accusations, I WILL deal with this issue.

Yeah, I watched just the first 5 minutes of both. The camera angles are totally different, the town entrance uses an extra swordslash... So this whole "OMG HE HEXED AND STOLE BLOOBIEBLAS INPUT" is a total bunch of made-up bullshit by SlowKing. He has no proof, other than they take a similar route.

This raises an interesting technical question: Since most, of not all, CPU opcodes take more than one clock cycle to execute (especially with older CPUs, such as those used in the 80's and early 90's), what happens if the reset signal is sent while an opcode is being interpreted by the CPU? Does the CPU immediately drop whatever it was doing and jump to the signal handler, or does it wait for the instruction to be completed before doing so? (Would that even make a difference in practice?)
Required reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interrupt The answer most likely depends on each individual CPU, as each one is going to handle its reset interrupt differently.

Honestly, I don't see any "flamewar" going on here (well, at least not up to the point of your post). Not all lengthy discussions where people present differing opinions are "flamewars". I think calling civil rational discussions "flamewars" is denigrating and disrespectful. People are entitled to differing opinions, and as long as they remain civil (and refrain from eg. name-calling and personal insults) discussion is a good thing.
Wow. Yeah, my post wasn't meant as inflammatory, at all. You read far too much into the word flamewar. "Holy discussion batman" just didn't have the same ring to it. I figured the batman part would have made it more tongue in cheek, at least. Relax, please.

The problem is - this isn't possible. I'd say you can divide the voters/members of the site into 4 categories. 1) People who only want the Best movies published. As an aside, this is actually how the site started out. Many users balked at this, and thus, about two years ago, the site fundamentally reduced the required caliber of a TAS to be published. I, for one, am happy with this change. 2) People who want only good TASes published. This is actually how the site is currently run, and I believe this group is the majority of the audience, and pleases the most people. Movies have to reach at least some baseline of technical and/or entertaining merit before being accepted. Obviously, "What is sufficient to be considered good" contains the most gray area, and therefore leads to the most debates, such as the one over this submission. 3) People who want pure audience voting (Do away with judging). The problem with this category, is that nearly every submission to TASVideos.org gets greater than 50% yes votes. I'd think that the quality of the videos on the site would greatly diminish, and you'd get a lot more abuse of the voting system. As it stands, I believe most judges look very carefully at both the poll and the posts, before making a decision, and thus, while not directly correlated with the poll/posts, the decisions do follow the opinions. 4) People who want this to be a records site. This would turn it from a public workbench into a private one - videos would just appear like SDA has, and everything would be streamlined. I think this would be the worst for the site, as everyone likes to participate, and removing that part would destroy a major part of this community. And, as always, this isn't a records site, nor should it be.

This is the beauty of it, don't you see? Reminds me of a high school prank I read about once. A group of kids took 3 pigs, and labeled them "1," "2," and "4" with paint, and let them run loose in the high school. The true joke was how long the administrators spent looking for pig "3."

I still haven't had time to test if Hero's suggested improvement is faster or not (Being put on "full-time job hunt" doesn't help matters.) My gut instinct says that the extra things you need to do out of order will accumulate to more than 6 seconds, which would make it slower since the whole point is removing the last 6 second page turn.
That is good enough for me. List it as a 'possible' improvement. Its up to Baxter if that explanation is good enough, however.
