I really do know that "no matter how old you are you can still become good" and I keep telling myself that, but I lapse back into my regular way of thinking sometimes. And then when I'm reminded that "wow, compared to that person, I'm a beginner" (watching a music video or something), instead of being spurred to practice or so, I start worrying about what I haven't done instead. And that anxiety makes it more difficult to practice. Awfully ironic.
The beginners mind is something not something to be squandered. The Buddhist philosophy Shoshin is about the openness of the beginner.

Stuff....
I came here to post basically what MisterEpic said. Stated slightly differently: If you are constantly comparing yourself to anyone and everyone in the world, you will ALWAYS come up short. The world is absolutely ridiculously huge, and full of extremely talented individuals. Here is a boy getting his Ph.D. at the age of 12. You need to deal with certain facts: You will never swim as well Michael Phelps, play basketball as well as Michael Jordan, do physics as well as Stephen Hawking, play chess as well as Gary Kasparov, or know as much ridiculous trivia Ken Jennings. If you consider that to be failing, then I pity you. You'll find much more happiness when you stop comparing your achievements to those of others, and spend time on the hobbies you enjoy, and work on things you love. Enjoyment in life comes in the pursuit of a goal, and not the achievement. If you aren't enjoying the pursuit, then I suggest you switch hobbies.

I thought it was pretty meh all around. Not poorly done, just very repetitive.

Is it even possible to die in this game? You appear to have no life bar, but you take a ton of damage...

I owe it to my role model of preference, the champion of favoritism, the duke of intolerance, the master of prejudice, the prefect of predisposition, mmbiasman. yes, I used a thesaurus for that.

I don't hate individualism. I dislike egotistical showboating, with each user thinking they deserve their own thread.

I like that picture, if it is any consolation.

Dear DarkKobold, Why couldnt we just have one thread for each user? It would be much more organized since people would know which user someone is asking depending o the subject name. Besides, its not like the site will be flodded or anything.
In the last hour, there have been three new topics Ask X, in the past 3 days, there have been a total of 5... That starts to look like a flood. This isn't my thread, btw. Dear Brushy, how do you feel about the new topic? Dear BrandonE, that avatar is very ugly to me, but you say it is from some album. What is the band and album? would I like their music?

To kill this showboating of topic for individual users, I'm creating a catch-all thread. Address the user you wish to ask, and ask the question in this thread.

Brushy - I appreciate your desire to improve your English skills, however, this is promoting far too many copycat threads. Locking. Yes, I fully realize you can unlock this thread.

If you had switched to Diddy in the first level, would you have been forced to take DK for Maniac Miners?

I don't even get the point of this game. Is this NES Test ROM in disguise? But at least you could have gone up to Phase 99. Even though that would take another... who knows how long? By the way, Phase 99 is the highest. It keeps saying Phase 99 after that.
AVGN actually did a R.O.B. video recently: http://cinemassacre.com/2011/03/03/avgn-rob-the-robot/ Also, I looked up the price of Stackup/R.O.B. after that.... The two combined would cost anywhere from 600 to 1200 dollars, depending on condition, and etc.

I was excited about the 3DS till I heard the battery life sucked. The battery life is so dang good in my DS (tank size) that it was pretty disappointing to hear. Also, I used to get horrible hand cramps playing my DS, it seemed like the DS always dug into my hands weird.
