Wait, I'm confused... Are you re-doing the run because of the Ganon trick? or something else I missed? Also, only 2 seconds for not having to get multiple swords and... stuff?

This topic briefly becomes a confusing mass of random posts due to trying to cram all the nomination topics together. Tricky to read through. I'm probably breaching etiquette, like Warp was pointing out earlier, but I'd like to nominate my Metroid 2 run for the glitched category. It demonstrates a game that's been gltiched to no end, but does so without jumping to the end like most glitched runs do. Condenses the action instead of skipping it.
If you can't self-nominate - I'll nominate for FW. This was a great glitch-tastic run.

Last year there was a Lucky Category. We should re-institute that, and I nominate Afaq/Gia's King's Bounty Run. Also, BloobieBla's OoT for N64 of the year. Adelikat: are you keeping track of all the nominations?

A second video for the Sunsoft levels would probably work. They should be accessible via a password, keeping it from having to be a 'concept demo.' Also, a short movie may entice otherwise attention-impaired people.

I'd also like to see the sunsoft levels finished. Regardless, I gave it a 9/9.5. Best movie I've seen in a while.

FCEUX now crashes when LUA tries to load a predefined save state. The following bit of code worked fine in FCEUX 2.02. Now, FCEUX completely dies. (I verified, before posting, that I could directly load the save states, using the function keys) a = savestate.create(10); savestate.load(a); My code in the toolbox forum is broken for FCEUX 2.03.

Brute forcing an entire path is far, far more difficult than brute forcing a single room. You are essentially asking for an entire game to be bot'ed, which is an extremely difficult task.

I found the best sequence to work for me was - Flash man freeze, to take off half of quickman's health - walk to the right right, for next step while frozen Crash bombs on left wall to kill Quickman and Flashman Air finishes off Crashman quick Switch to metal blade, and kill bubble man by firing directly up. By this time, Air man will jump to you, use leafshield while standing behind him. Kill Woodman and Metal man with Metal Blade Finish off heatman with bubbles. Victory!

Wasn't quite tldr, but I am getting pretty good at Lua. Perhaps a script that just falls into DarkLink's room in various places would help? See if it is even possible?

Actually, to be fair, its not that bad of idea. Take any meticulous hobby - model building, painting, building houses out of cards, and etc - all have people who do *speed* whatever as well. Its a different aspect to a hobby. Those that like the end result of meticulous hobbies prefer the end result. The people that just want to see something cool - like all aspects.

Um, it is highly unlikely this run would get published, just so you know. Also, answering incorrectly results in the player waiting for a CPU to buzz in. I doubt that anything could really give a good tas experience.

Since my last bit of code was so loved, I figured I give my fans another piece of code. DarkKobold's fan club: *chirp*, *chirp* This uses the same save states as the other. This time, it is a survival type game, see how many bosses you can kill before you die - with diminishing health bonuses for each boss killed.

Yeah, aren't the tenants of good TASing time, effort, and patience? So isn't the idea of creating a TAS in record time uh... an oxymoron? Also, most good TASers are probably involved in actual tases.

HAHAHAHA Submission completes game, and skips those stupid credits. Who gives a f&*$#@@ about stupid programmers? 10 for entertainment, .5 for technical. I'd go to 11, but this scale only goes to 10.

Video games with good music is definitely nothing new. Marketing movies with music from the movies is nothing new. However, I was listening to the radio the other day, and heard a tune I knew that I'd heard before, but couldn't place. I then heard it again, and it frustrated me... http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/949455/mirrors-edge/videos/mirrorsedge_musicvid_112508.html Music from a video game, on the radio? On a clear channel station no less? We've reached a new level of penetration and marketing for video games.

Combatribes - That game sucks in real-time. Who would spend time in slow motion playing it? The quad-run. I've had nightmares that were more enjoyable than doing that run (most-likely) was.

There is a difference between hating someone and calling them on their bullshit. 10 posts of whining is not gracious in any use of the word. Begrudgingly would have been the proper terminology. Secondly, Saturn's arrogant remarks make it seem that any of the judges CARE whether or not he accepts the rejection, in any form. His manner of stating is as if he has the final say on whether or not the debate is over. The debate was over the moment the video was rejected. It was at the own judges discretion whether or not they decided to continue to clarify their decision. He would do well to seek help for Narcissistic Personality Disorder, however the nature of the pathology is one that causes the person to reject any external help, and instead continually blame outside sources.

The site will oh so massively suffer without your 5th Super Metroid run. If only silly mmbossman understood that tasvideos is mainly about Super Metroid tasing, and 13 different runs for that one game. If only there was a site dedicated to Super Metroid, that dumb bossman would learn. I cry just thinking about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for graciously accepting the rejection 18 pages after it was rejected. We can all learn from your humility.
