What episode would you suggest? Sonic Rainboom was just the first one that came to mind.

From the creator somebody who worked on the Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Lauren Faust, get ready to lay your eyes upon the most fantastic cartoon you will ever witness! Now, you all remember the old style MLP. That was garbage. This show, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic, appealing to all people of all ages. Apparently Lauren Faust has a DeviantArt page, and on there she actually links to unofficial uploads of MLP:FiM episodes on YouTube. What this means is that you can watch this show completely legally and for free! So you should. Because it's awesome. Here's a quick overview of the scene and characters: Notable locations: Ponyville - where most things take place; home of earth ponies. Cloudsdale - this is where the pegasus ponies live and also where rainbows and clouds are made. Canterlot - a very prestigious city whereupon Princess Celestia lives; Twilight Sparkle lived here before Celestia sent her to Ponyville. Mane characters: Twilight Sparkle -a bookworm unicorn pony; an apprentice of Princess Celestia Applejack - "southern" earth pony who works on her family's apple farm. Rainbow Dash - a pegasus pony with a serious need for speed. Pinkie Pie - an insane earth pony who is basically overdosed on sugar all the time. Fluttershy - an ultra shy pegasus pony; really good with small animals. Rarity - a very self-conscious and fashionable unicorn pony. Spike - a baby dragon that can write send messages to other dragons and Princess Celestia - Aids in Twilight Sparkle's studies (though she's really more of a personal slave, but that's not really important). Now, you can either watch the first two episodes and get the whole background on what's going on, if you feel intrigued. If you aren't quite convinced that this is (one of) the best shows ever to exist, you should instead watch Sonic Rainboom, which is, in my opinion, the best episode thus far. LINKS! Hub of episodes Edit: Due to shenanigans a while back regarding copyright, the episodes I had linked here before are now dead. Since it would be ridiculously arduous to replace every single link, I've decided to link the homepage of the MLParchive YouTube channel, which houses 1080p rips of each episode. They are not public, due to the aforementioned copyright issues. Equestria Daily Ponychan Derpibooru (NSFW images exist, but they're tagged and hidden unless you explicitly say otherwise) 4chan's /mlp/ board (May contain NSFW images) Disclaimer: Please keep this thread clean and the hate to a minimum.

Good luck with the encode. Dega is hard for some people because it doesn't have a built-in AVI recorder <_<
What?! That...changes some things. My computer isn't badass enough to handle manual recording.

So, I watched the encode, and, to put it simply, nothing exciting ever happened. All there were was a pony walking around and minigames. I'd give it a "Meh", but then I remember those are G3 ponies, not G4 ponies, so I fear I can't vote anything except for "No." Sorry bro
Gonna have to agree with this. I love the [G4] fandom to death, but this simply does not have the entertainment value that I had expected. Sorry Ferret.

I like being able to make out every single pixel when watching a TAS. Don't change anything.

Registering. I regret not learning to encode earlier; it seems like Brandon gets 99% of them these days. Gotta keep an eye on TASVideoAgent, yo!

There are two ghosts in this video: one of them is ChefStef's run while the other is andymac's (andyfaceMcGee) WIP that he stopped back in March. The red box represents andymac's while the blue box represents ChefStef's. There is no distinction between the two ghosts, so assume andymac is the ghost ahead of the other.

Anybody else find it odd that it saves time using a slower route?
The new route is actually slower. Getting the shell in world 2 and using it in Sky Star World is what saves time.

Bitchin'. Definite yes vote. Bowser isn't all that great; could do with input macros or something like that. Can't blame you for that, though, because Bowser is a pain to make entertaining.

It's fairly obvious that 2 player should be considered only for a portion of the overworld of SDW.

For SMW, I don't really see a usage, unless you can somehow carry items over for both Mario and Luigi, and even then it's a long shot.
The logic that most people apply to it is that you could cover levels quicker because you wouldn't have to backtrack at all. Which is really stupid because the SMW 100% is really fluid with little backtracking at all.

But if you think you need to make up 8 minutes or more, you are a bit wrong!
I was assuming that you would use both Mario and Luigi throughout the whole game. That would total to eight minutes if it were the original SMW. I don't know shit about SDW, so I can't really say anything about how much time using two players would take up. I do know that it takes a considerable amount of time to transition between the two, and that time does accumulate quickly.

The time saved in 2p mode would have to be ENORMOUS to warrant the transitions. Every time Mario or Luigi finishes a level, it has to fade to black on he map screen & transition to the new player--that's a LOT of lost time.
About five seconds per transition. If it were the original SMW, then that's 95 transitions, which is almost eight minutes. You'd have to improve the existing run by at least that much time for it to even be worth it.

The only thing changable in a hex editor that causes Lunar Magic to not recognize it is the internal ROM name, which is easily fixed.
That's what you think. You forget that he made both the hack and the program :P

He didn't lock it in a hex editor, that would make it really easy to unlock.

Okay well I've decided I'm going to work on the SDW "120-Exit" as well. I am currently at Desert Pyramid b, and I am a fair amount ahead of the current published run. I just wanted to know if there is any way to open SDW in Lunar Magic, as it would really help a lot to actually view the levels and the overworld itself. Also, does anyone have any useful information, such as any breaks or a different overworld path before I get too far into the project? It would be very helpful to me. Thanks..
did you try Recover Lunar Magic v1.4 or is it locked in any other way?
FuSoYa locked it in a hex editor. It's nigh impossible to unlock it.

Only two types of people play this game, the hardcore TASers, and the victims to jerks who set them up to play an innocent game of Mario that was, in fact, not very innocent at all, which is where the hack's translated/original title came from.
If you're talking about the name of the hack, "Kaizo" just means modification/hack. I.e. 'Hacked Mario World'. Aptly named, no? Though I think you're just referring to the first known video recordings of it, which are entitled "Hard hack I made for my friend" (paraphrased because I can't be bothered to look it up).
