ISM encoded the TAS for Nico, but due to the filesize restriction set forth, the video had to be split into two parts. I don't know how this should be handled in regards to modules on the publication page--I'm not able to add a second link. The first part, however, is already on the publication page. Here are the two videos in question: Link to video Link to video

Might there be a "117-exit" TAS of this hack in the future?
Bahamete has been working on it for a while, but it's on hold for now because of the SMW 96-exit TAS.

Why would they have such a title if you didn't have to do that?

Music production in the hack was ass too.
You have to realise that the hack was made when custom music was a brand new thing.

He's working on a 100% TAS. It's on hold to make way for the SMW 96-exit, though.

You also said that the "fancy stuff" was excluded in the remake. The sprites, backgrouds, and music were all updated in Reloaded. I don't recall any custom ASM, but I haven't played it in a while, just watched this TAS.
There's actually few custom sprites in the game. They're just graphically altered.

The Second Reality Project was created before the days of custom music, sprites, and fancy ASM-hacks, so they were, for the most part, excluded in this remake.
Were we watching the same game here?
Did you even read it? The Second Reality Project and The Second Reality Project Reloaded are two different hacks. I explicitly stated that the latter is a remake of the former. The former was made in 2002, before all the fancy custom shit existed.

"Processing of the video failed. Please make sure you are uploading a supported file type." I hate YouTube so much. I'm just gonna put bahamete's SD encode in the submission notes for now. It takes ~4 hours to upload each time I try, plus another 4 to process. If someone feels like they can get it under 1.3 GB in that time, I say you should tackle doing the encode instead. It's really annoying at this point.

NOBODY REENCODE IT! In my fit of rage at the fucked up audio last night, I had completely forgotten that I didn't need to redo the entire encoding process--I just have to remux it. Reuploading as we speak.

After 36 hours of waiting for it to encode and upload, it desynced. I'm not reencoding it. Someone else can. Ugh.

Encode is still processing, but it should be up soon! I absolutely love this TAS. This submission shines in both of the necessary areas: the TAS is entertaining and well-done, and the hack is exceptionally welll-made and visually astounding. I don't know what else I can say! Yes vote! Also, if anyone cares, I've been given explicit permission to submit this for bahamete.

It wouldn't be. Item Abuse is a hack meant to be TASed, which is why it wouldn't fit the motif of "playthroughs of games as if a gamer god were playing" that this site upholds.

It's funny you mention that, actually. The TAS that was linked is terribly dated, and the latest TASes of it break the hack to shit.

he's half-finished WIP would make your work a lot easier.
Thing is, his WIP is a bit dated, so some levels aren't completely optimal. They'll obviously use his WIP as a reference, but I don't think they'll outright use his input for anything.

Other than switching to lsnes? :)
I TAS levels individually, and since lsnes can't start a movie in the middle of a game, I'm not going to be switching to it any time soon.
