Unlike Oddworld Adventures, it's not possible to skip the ending sequence, so the credits can only be triggered at frame 71899; http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/16787345584996401

Yeah, sure, but we won't have new Mario, Zelda or Metroid runs so often. Also, a "Yes, your run's quite good" sometimes is all a TASer ask for, as it shows that people is supporting his effort.

Oh, I see. Lots of sites require the user to have some kind of "fidelity" to the comunity before one can download, or upload something to the site. Isn't it time to adopt something similar here? For example, you must have that amount of posts before you're able to submit a movie, or you must vote in a certain number of runs. I know a troll can also post and vote, if his main objective is "trolling", but it may discourage some of them.

Thank you, mklip2001. I didn't mean to be rude or anything like that, but the the level of silliness of his run is simply too high. It's hard to believe he is a newbie playing the game, rather, it looks like someone who knows pretty well what he's doing. I might well be completely wrong, in which case I apologise, MegYesDKNo.

Can we? Really? I don't know, but I sense something strange coming from this submission. I stopped watching at three minutes or so, but it's enough to vote No on this one. I just don't get why people pay attention to this kind of submission, when there are lots of legit runs which have almost no replies...

I think that Alucard, pretty much like myself at the moment, is constipated... anyways, Yes to yet another great run.

I didn't watch it yet, so I can't vote, but this is interesting;

Nice find. Thank you, Garrison for sharing this new wrong warp glitch.

Glitches, ACEs and what else is going to be found seems to be the future of the TAS, but I still prefer to actually see the game being played. And you sir, made an excellent work here. Just a minor flaw, as stated by mklip2001, is the amount of got ya, or "Catia" as I hear them. Yes vote from me, too.

In spite of its length, I found it quite enjoyable. Well, I only played the Atari version of Q*bert, but the solutions he used are very clever. Here's another Yes.

I'm not really an Elmo fan, I prefer Garibaldo. Okay, now who is this Garibaldo, you ask? It was one of the Brazilian Muppets, the program was called "Vila Sésamo" around here. So, since the run does not uses the best character in my opinion, here's another No vote to you.

Thank you, guys. My thoughts about this submission are pretty much the same as yours; Yes, publish it, but No it's not entertaining...

Nice. Goemon spinning like a top was one of the funniest moments to me. The "switch to the music" is also interesting, though the first one seems a little off. Yes vote, of course.

Um... My guess was one the new glitches, the bee skip maybe, but in this case I'm even clueless of what to do to fix it. I went back a few stages and played it again, skipping the rescues, but the problem still persists. So, the run is on hold again until something else happens, a new glitch or something like that. I'm sorry.

I hate to double post, even worse when it is to give bad news, but the glitch at RuptureFarms2 happened again; http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/646449625/movie.pxm All 99 Mudokons rescued, and Abe is just stuck here; This time I can't think of anything to solve the problem other than track down the cause of the glitch.

I'm not familiar with thech revenge either, but here's a transcript of the part he explains it;
ForgoneMoose wrote:
Revenge Tech is strange, and nobody really even has an idea of what it is or why it works. It's essentially just killing enemies in strange ways while inside their hitbox, but it requires having the enemy either stopwatched or in a special "stunned" state, and not every enemy can be stunned. It is only used here when no other option works.

I must confess that was not a fan of Zelda on NES, but since I saw my nick name on the submission text, it got my attention. What a pleasant surprise; the run turned out to be nothing less than impressive! Nice work, TASeditor. And how the heck did you transform feos into Dooty, and apparently all the other nicknames on the site?

Sadly, changing something on a stage will cause a desync on the next one. There will be lag on different places, longer loading times, enemies behaving differently.

The game is not hanging anymore, but something weird happened on RuptureFarms2 this time; http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1903116765/movie.pxm There's no lever to open one of the trapdoors! Luckily, the new strategy is faster anyway. I'm just 01:57.82 ahead of the published run, so sub one hour may not be possible yet. :( edit; almost there, I just need to redo a small part of the last Zulag and it will be submitted.

Yes, you're right. Also every stage of the final version is slower, I just managed to beat the beta version because of a cut scene at the very end... But both versions have the same number of stages, so I don't know if it's really a precedent. In any case, I also like to see it published, and like others have said, not obsoleting the USA version.

Your trick will save a nice amount of time on Paramonia, and there's just an important thing to do to make it work; don't jump! (no matter how high Abe is, after a jump he will fall to the screen below, dying most of the time)

Is the invisible elum glitch necessary? I think using the glitch detracted from entertainment.
I guess it won't be possible to avoid it this time; unlike Abe's Exoddus, in Oddysee you can be killed by bombs off screen! (and the invisible elum can safely step on them) So far I did the stage with the Invisible Elum, and now I'm going to try the invisible Abe, let's see. edit; The UXBs are inactive off screen... here, not yet a new WIP, just to show the skip; http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/694433768/movie.pxm Dismount Elum trick removed and no Invisible Elum. :) (yet, 201 frames ahead of my last WIP, pretty good)

Time to get back to Oddysee - 100%. The dismount Elum trick was causing too much trouble in later levels; use it twice and you can't get to RuptureFarms 2, use it once and then you can't complete it... :( So, what? Well, I was kinda upset to have to remove that trick from the run, so I was playing around with the Teleport Elum trick;
AKheon wrote:
If Elum is in a different screen, Abe still teleports on him but the camera won't follow. It's possible to glitch-move the locations of elevators by a few steps while doing this, for some reason.
Moving the location of the elevator didn't yield good results; Abe can't get out of it anymore. But with the camera trick, it's possible to skip the bees on Paramonia too; with the camera stuck down there Elum will not eat the honey! I still have to test a few things, figure out some necessary steps, faster setup and etc. but it will be on the next WIP.

So, in both cases I don't think it really completes the game. We may be missing something. Anyway, I'm working on the submission text and the run will be submitted soon. Thank you.

I wish you good luck! The run is done, but looks like something's wrong; http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/16003084596834310 It advances to the bad ending, but Abe dies on the background after the cutscene. Is it normal? Does it also happens on the PC version?

It's actually Hub 2! Not Zulag 2.
Um... now that makes sense. Having Zulags inside another one was weird. By the way, a new trick, very small, but it will save some time I'm sure; to lure the Slogs you don't need to throw the bones, just hold Circle for two frames and it will keep them busy long enough. Well, I know that this run would be slower than the PC version, but I'm almost five minutes behind already!

Thank you for the encode. It's good to know that it is working on other computers too. So, here's a new WIP, up to Zulag #2, full of new strategies. Some will be useful in real time I think; http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1337506892/movie.pxm

Yes, it does, I dont even need to wait too much frames, I just need to swap the discs during a frame of lag for some reason. edit: here's the ne WIP, up to Zulags. I think it won't crash anymore; http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1688340815/movie.pxm
