Nicely done AKheon. I have been thinking about doing the whole run over. I have become better accustomed to the emulator, and also I want to walk instead of jump because: 1) It looks kind of unprofessional. 2) It is easier to time jumps while walking (much easier). 3) It wastes subpixals. Thanks for the info. I didn't take subpixals into account. I can't decide whether to do the run over now, or complete the run and submit it before starting over.

Nice job. I play solitaire a lot so I'm pretty sure that this must have taken much planning. Yes vote.

I found a glitch in the Argorok battle (boss of the City in the Sky) I posted a video on my account: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBvA_dbev-E Looking for more things that can be abused in this game. Will post later.

A mascot is usually an animal (sometimes mythological), possibly a more or less anthropomorphic one (like Sonic is). Sometimes it could be a robot. Humans are seldom, if ever, used as mascots, possibly because of the implications. (Mascots, while usually not pets, have a lot in common with them, and human pets would have quite unfortunate implication.
Our school's mascot are the senators. Also, I vote Mario, I don't enjoy Sonic games.

Very interesting article. I think the gamers were quick to solve the problem because gamers are open-minded toward solving problems and try every possibility possible before claiming the game to be impossible. Games such as LoZ have sometimes very complex and hard puzzles that can be very difficult to solve.

Point 2: You made this topic in the middle of a community that is not about ponies. Honestly, what did you expect, post after post of people arguing over who's the cutest? Given the territory I think things have been pleasantly civil.
Agreed. I thought it would be much worse. Also, I thought it was kind of weird when I started watching Hoshii no Kabii, but MLP is just disturbing.

I don't really want to TAS this game, I created this topic because I have been playing the game a lot, and I really want to see this game TASed. Here are some things I found out about the game (keep in mind I have only played the wii version so I don't know if the tips work on the GC version): 1)There are two places in castle town that you can morph/warp, behind the STAR tent and just outside Telma's bar. 2)The items inside jars can be manipulated, such as: if you use an arrow(maybe more) before opening a jar, crate, ect. then you are more likely to find arrows. 3)I don't know if they tell you this in the game, but pressing A repeatedly while swimming allows you to go significantly faster.

I hope it lands in New York City, that would be a very interesting news story. Also, the space cancer will have lots of people to infect.

I thought " The encode is taking too long! I want the ponies now!!!". So I watched it on the emulator, and I could feel the brain cells in my head having strokes as I watched this movie, I'm pretty sure I felt my IQ drop 100 points. The overall game is slow, the music is annoying, and I strongly vote NO.

I created this topic because it is interesting to know what material possessions are most important to you. I would like to be stuck with a laptop and internet.

I once had a dream where I was in Link's place in Ocarina of Time, and Sheik was teaching me the Minuet of the Forest in Death Mountain Crater (don't ask why). Anyway, instead of throwing a deku nut and exiting, Sheik decides it would be easier to kill me and save Hyrule herself. So she does the needle storm move from smash bros. and the death sequence plays with me, again, in link's place.

I'm voting meh. I think the routes of avoiding the enemies was not very entertaining. Yet the first - third levels were good, the castle level really dropped entertainment value.

I was waiting to comment/vote until the encode. And it looks great! Also, a very good run. I enjoy short runs because of my short attention span. Very good technical quality in this run. Just an all around great TAS.

I completed the Visitor Courtyard yesterday, here are some things I learned during the level. Walking is actually just as fast as short jumping. But I think I'll keep the previous parts of the run for entertainment purposes. People have terrible collision detection, so I can be touching them as I begin the smile and wave animation, but they won't catch me. Smile and Wave animations take a long time to complete. I am trying to find a way to bypass it. At one point in the run I can jump over one of them because the conditions were perfect, but I can not do this with the other people. Parachute animation takes a surprisingly short time. Barely into the Zebra Pen, I'll continue it today.

I thought the same thing Sticky. Also, great run Randil!! As, stated previously, the later levels were faster and more entertaining. Is there a Mr. Driller 1 TAS on this site?

Thanks again AKheon! First, this run does use Turbo Tobogganing on the T.C. Second, I'll test that water-tobogganing glitch. Third, the damage boosts aren't equal as you said, in fact the damage boosts birds and porcupines seems to be about the same. Walrus boosts however are more powerful, and spider boosts are not very effective and as such I only boost off a spider when I am in mid-jump. Another interesting thing I learned about walrus boosting is that after being hit by the walrus, if you don't touch land after about 15-20 frames, you fall through the platform you are on (if you are on an elevated platform that is). I'll post more things as I continue on the run.

This is the run I've been working on. It goes from power on to the end of the arctic pen. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1273588817/Operation%20Penguin%20TAS.vbm

Thanks, I redid the T.C. with auto firing L. It was incredibly fast. I'll test to see if it's faster auto-firing A. I have found many places to damage boost.Such as: This one on the Training Course. This one on the T.C. And this one also on the T.C. I'm still optimizing the giraffe and arctic pens. Once I complete them I'll post a WIP. Your research has been very helpful. Thank you for your help, as this is my first TAS.

I appreciate your help AKheon, I found the turbo-tobogganing glitch to be interesting. I'll redo the course using that. I'm already half-way through the arctic pen.
