What the... Well if that makes it into a published run, it'll certainly be in its own Glitched category.

While really well made I think that most of the entertainment in these games come from 100% completion runs as they shows off even more crazy skill. I am voting Meh. Sorry.
This, but I did vote Yes. I just didn't get that much of a kick out of the run.

I also want to see Tales of Symphonia. Yes, there is a lot of dialogue, but most of it is largely skippable. There are also lots of ways to make the game more difficult. The most immediate one that springs to mind is to do a New Game+ playthrough, so that it can be done on Mania difficulty and with 1/2 EXP.

Saying Yes, but only so that this can be a placeholder for a 100% TAS of this game. When that happens, this movie should be replaced with it immediately.

Even by TAS standards, that Bob-Omb Battlefield stuff was... ... Abnormal.

What exactly would be the purpose of that? Don't the different sections of the castle escape count as different loading zones altogether? I would have thought that even if you could get inside, you wouldn't be able to reach the loading zone for the exit right away. Unless you mean just reaching the next loading zone quicker, that could work.

How much of an improvement is that? Looks like a tiny optimisation to me.
It's not an improvement; it's a TWR (tied world record). Mickey still thinks that he can save 1 frame over the current published run, though.
Ah, I see. I assumed it was an improvement since it was a newly published video. EDIT: Fantastic job on the new BitS, it amazes me that more and more frames keep getting shaved off this run.

It would certainly be more entertaining to not have the loading times, but if we were going to allow that because loading times 'don't show gameplay', then I don't see the difference between that and removing cutscenes and text screens from games, because they also 'don't show gameplay'.

Very nice glitch, but would it really help reduce the TAS time? It looks to me like it would still be faster to enter/exit DDD.

Despite the original and PD: Zwei being rail shooters, how much potential is there for this? Saga would be a pretty big project, but since the first two are rail shooters they must be very easy to optimize. I imagine any TASing would just take the 'Gradius' approach by trying to look as impressive as possible, such as 100% accuracy.

http://tasvideos.org/GameResources/N64/ZeldaOcarinaOfTime.html#RbaReverseBottleAdventure Reverse Bottle Adventure, overwriting binary values to replace items in your inventory. Hex-edit may have been a bad term to use, sorry. I guess my question is simply: What makes it necessary to edit in all the medallions when you could just use bombs to get over the gap? I can only assume that there must be something you NEED them for, and my best guess is the cutscene where Zelda gives you the Light Arrows and is kidnapped. I'm just waiting for a confirmation on this.

First time posting here, I'm a longtime lurker but registered just now to ask this since I'm intrigued by the possibility, even though I'm prepared to believe this was thought of and debunked AGES ago: Is the Reverse Bottle Adventure to get the medallions really necessary? If all its for is to get the bridge to Ganon's Castle to appear, I don't see why you can't just bomb hover over there. I know you still need the Light Arrows to beat Ganondorf/Ganon, but can't you just hex-edit them? I eagerly await a response explaining why this will not work.
