Should probably mention that the movie file was a bit corrupted so that's why the rerecord count doesnt show up. I'll try to fix it later but the encode should say how many rerecords there were.

Other than just skipping the harder levels, no there isnt. Skipping the last levels gives you the real ending to the game while all levels just ends on the 100% screen.
Edit: actually you still get the ending to the game but ThunderAxe reset the game to skip it.

What are those goomba sprites even supposed to be? it feels like a tech demo where developers messed around and put their faces in the game.

Id be up for it. Although alot of game and watch games dont have any sort of speedrun capability, for example fire rescue, chef, fire attack, and so on. But games like Doneky Kong and such can definitely work. We do have a DK TAS for G&W Gallery but so far that's all we were able to do. I would love to see more TASes like this if we allow it.

Any interest in doing Mario is Missing! as well? There's an SDA run for it that maps out a solid speedrun route.
Possibly yes, this game is more menuing than actual game, i was planning on working with Ready Steady Yeti to do the other software toolworks mario games. It's definitely something I'll look into.
