I like how you linked a TAS that’s not even possible without hacks or some game modification, because if you didn’t know, the only way to get to the upper part of the castle is by using the key from bowser in the fire sea. The area is not loaded unless you do that. So I would argue this TAS would be unacceptable for a completely different reason than bad camera angles.

Nope, the game runs at a fixed scrolling speed as long as you don’t press left or get hit or press attack while on the ground. You can however jump to the left without slowing down the scroll.

There was a problem I ran into with Super Cobra where the movie header didn’t list “PAL 1” to adjust the time for PAL playback, however I found that it still shows the incorrect time even if PAL 1 is on. I made a ticket here a week ago: https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/issues/2684
