I agree with NYMX’s assessment. I can assure you people would be interested in a TAS for this game as it’s one of the most talked about games in the PCE speedrunning Community. PSXjin has faster loads and not as long of a boot up, not to mention it runs at a faster framerate compared to BizHawk. But the thing to note is IT IS NOT ACCURATE EMULATION. BizHawk is more accurate, and has longer loading, which is why it’s slower. The other thing to note is why not do this movie on PSXjin? Well that’s because the emulator is not acceptable anymore due to bad emulation (not to mention publication issues from time to time).

I would rather the Harder version be done over the easier one, even if it fixes the timer bug. The bug is kind of hilarious to me to be honest.

So that was a glitch I accidentally found a few months ago, but I did not understand it at the time. But I think now I know what’s happening. Normally if you shoot sparkles, they will eventually go away. They can also go away if you do a spin move. I found out that if you “pump” the spin move, you can keep the hitbox from the sparkles active for longer. This allows us to attack both sides of the screen at once. This trick is a bit hard to do in the 3rd stage however, but I’m working with Bloop on finding the best pattern for it. I was kindof afraid that this trick would make the bosses less entertaining to watch, but that doesn’t seem like the case, as long as I still do swagger moves it will stay entertaining.

Glad to see one of my favorite movies from 2017 get an improvement. that Cave of Wonders skip was insane. yes vote. BTW out of curiosity, you commented on my tutorial for branches saying it'll help you out. Did that help with making this new movie by any chance? (also the youtube encode is still privated)

Seems like it, but I identified the exact reason for the desync, it is due to lag, not RNG. Unfortunately the game does not show lag frames in TAStudio, so it will have to be figured out where to add frames to accommodate for this.
