IL wips are just as valid of an existing record as full game wips. What should matter is how significant is the improvement? And if this improvement caused different rng later, then would that improvement be carried over? In the case here, 6 seconds in the first stage is a very significant improvement, I do not believe that all 6 of those seconds would be erased simply from RNG changes.

going to start doing this game myself, I tried out the first few levels to get a feel for this. Link to video some things I tried doing was to make the player ahead of me not jump as much, sometimes landing will cause the char to lose a frame of movement, where sometimes that isnt the case. that will have to be somthing I need to investigate at some point. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/58244819498560093 this is 107 frames faster than the last submission of this game.

Using 2 players doesn’t mean it cant be done with one player, it means it is done faster with 2 players. That’s the whole point.

Im not sure if anyone missed my comment but does anyone know why the audio seems to get corrupted in places like 0:55 and 2:17 in the encode?

So what i do is open the corrupt tasproj with 7zip, then I make a new movie file (preferably a bk2) from the game I’m using, (no inputs needed). I then open that new movie file in 7zip. Then I transfer the inputs file (should be named “input log or something) from the corrupt tasproj and move it into the new bk2. You can also move the header file so rerecord count doesn’t go back to zero.

Does anyone know why the previous publications for this category used one player?

By save file do you mean sram or a saved movie file? If it’s the latter, When this happens to me I usually make a new bk2 file and just transfer the inputs from the old movie file into the new movie file using 7zip (including the header so rerecord count is contained).

This is my issue with this as well. Alot of this can be easily avoidable if soig had just posted about his work on the forums. Game threads exist for a reason.

First off, it’s not hidden. A submission was made on the site that you can easily check, and there’s a game thread where I’ve posted progress before: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=474 Im taking a break from working on it because me and Mr K want to fully optimize crush subweapon optimization. I would have been fine with you making a submission for this game if you saw that my progress was halted and ask me if I was planning on working on the game in the future, this would have prevented this clash of movies.
