It makes me happy to see you tasing again even if the game isn’t that interesting.
Probably the only thing about this game that ruins any level of entertainment is the long loading. Like I know saturn is infamous for long loadings but this takes the cake. I still liked the run so I’m going to vote meh on this.

Well I wouldn’t say it’s high quality since it’s only 720p. But I’m glad to have helped.
The run itself was amazing, it’s fast paced, there’s nics variety, and the boss playarounds were legitimately fun to watch. Personally I’d suggest this for stars but the only thing holding me back is knowing that the publication encode will be in 3D mode, and mobile YouTube users cant turn it off. If a plain black and white encode was doen in the publication (like the one I made for the temp) then I’d be willing to suggest it.

My attempt was nothing more than just seeing how the game worked. I never got past the first level because I wasn’t interested in continuing it. However I do know that shooting on the ground causes the player to slow down, so shooting after jumping would be the more optimized way.
Bizhawk is more accurate than gens and features TAStudio, which is probably the best tool for 2player tases.

You’ll want to start a movie from bizhawk itself.
In file->movie->record movie, you then check “start from sram” then record. (Probably best to clear any duplicate sram file and only leave in the one you want to use(also make sure that sram file wasn’t overwritten before you do this))
Once you do that, opening TAStudio should allow you use it starting with sram.
If im missing a step, someone correct me.

Apologies for being picky about this but what does doing 2 players add to the gameplay that 1 player wouldn’t do? Gameplay seems to be identical to when I first attempted this awhile back.
Also one thing I learned when doing the game is to never shoot when you’re on the ground, because you start to slow down when you do that, I noticed in the first level you shot an enemy with the 2nd player and immediately the screen started to slow down.
The other thing is why was this on gens? I can understand using gens for Sunset Riders because for whatever reason, the game on bizhawk wouldnt let me play as 2 players, but here I dont really see a reason for it.
I mostly have these questions because you left the submission text almost empty. Use that area to explain the run as much as you think is needed.

I didn't propose adding only one new Star per year.
Even if it’s 2 stars per year, 5 or 6, the idea of waiting a year to nominate stars make no sense and would just be completely tedious for everyone. Why is it so bad to suggest movies right away? It’s quick and easy to suggest them, but instead of doing that for SM, you complain about the system not being fair, when in reality it’s alot more flexible than you’d think. Look how easily feos changed SM to stars, it’s as simple as saying “hey, this movie is pretty good it should be in stars”.
Coming up with a bullshit system that actually makes nominations movies harder and difficult is dumb.

There is a SMB bootleg that was released on the Korean Sega Master System, however apparently it’s actually a game from the SG-1000 which was also only in korea, just ported straight over to the SMS.
Both versions are almost identical (and the checksum for the SMS one matches with bizhawk, haven’t tested SG-1000 yet). My question is which version would be best to use if a tas would be made for it?
The game name Super Boy 2 for reference.

Could it be different PC hardware that’s the issue? The game syncs up until the final boss for me, even applying the game fixes and using that plugin it still doesn’t work at all for me.

The game still desyncs for no reason on both mupen64 and bizhawk. Better luck next year.
Does anyone know if this is still the case for the current bizhawk? (I cant test it at the moment).

I would test it on later bizhawk if you can, and see if inputs do sync on neshawk. At the very least it could be as simple as adding a few extra frames to the beginning.
