The stage 2 boss has a really weird desync. I saved 4 frames on it at one point and the following room synced just fine, but as soon as the last room in stage 3 was done I had lost those 4 frames for no reason. I dont know if there was some sort of frame rule I’m missing here but it’s really tricky to figure out. I do think the other time saves you mentioned can be doable. I’ll see if I can look at them. However understand that this weekend is a bit busy for me so I dont know when to expect to finish it. Thank you for looking into this. And I understand how difficult it is to compare to gens.

I agree with spike here. If you dont do research on the game in question (like wondering why it has such a slow boot up process) then you obviously wont know how to speedrun it, let alone tas it. Try to actually learn the game before you put out submissions on it.

Also I found that this game is present as different versions that don't sync
Do any of these versions contain less loading time for bootup? I wonder if it’s worth using them for this tas simply for convience of the viewers.

Can you please be more specific with your issue? We cant really tell you what to do unless you give us more information. Maybe try recording a video of the issue in bizhawk and post it here so we can see what’s happening.

While the movie file says 72632 rerecords, 70167 of those rerecords come from HappyLee's warps TAS.
That explains why the rerecord count seemed too high for a suboptimal movie. I will probably give Xela the benifit of the doubt and assume they didn’t know how to add HappyLee as a “co-author”, but it’s hard to do that when it isn’t mentioned in the submission text at all that it used inputs from HappyLee.

Man i will never get tired of new Castlevania tases. This game reminds me so much of Symphony of the Night in ways. The way the character uses back dashing, the enemies being simmilar, even the 3D backgrounds remind me of the clock tower at the beginning of the PSX game. I sure do wish a new tas of that game was done. Sorry I went off topic. I enjoyed the run very much, yes vote.
