To echo spike here, but there are still many places where it seems like you slow down to avoid enemies, yet you have the power to control those enemies. Were you not able to move them out of the way? Can you not do any tight jumps to sneak past them?
It’s also a bit appalling that you are tasing a SMW game, but completely forgot about P speed.

I didnt really find this entertaining, and I dont really think this is 100% optimal, you jump on a few platforms but it completely halts you in your tracks, like on the first jump.
also wouldnt you be running at full P speed here? you almost never get up to speed from what I can tell.

Personally I see no issues with this one being accepted. The RNG is much different compared to arcade and other ports, and afaik, you dont jump as high in this version compared to arcade.
But we’ll see, I have faith in this.

so the very short lived SGX had a port of Ghouls 'n Ghosts on it, I'd thought I'd take a look at the title and it seems almost exactly like the arcade version. The only major differences I could see was you dont jump as high and luck manipulation is a bit different.

For this game, there is a final boss after the 2nd cycle.
I just haven’t seen any proof that this version (SGX) has a level code to skip the 1st one.

since I dont know anything about this game in particular, it really looks like the inputs are not fast enough, it seems like you are spending a few frames before you start moving pieces to the left or right.

It actually makes me relieved that this is how you judge obsoletions of Gens movies, as I have another game that is much more laggier on bizhawk then Gens, so I wont have to worry about the amount it causes too much.

Im pretty sure I tried that but it had no real difference, although I could check it again later today.
alright so it seems that it is a bit faster to do that, so I went ahead and applied that improvement.
also ThunderAxe31 told me about some more improvements that I completly missed, one being that you can sometimes jump across both platforms in level 20, so in total, this is a 131 frame improvement.

OH BOY. Didn't think we would be getting a Monkey Ball TAS any time soon, yet here we are.
I loved all the levels, the bouncing, the music (speaking of that, what the heck happened to the music at 1:50? Did the game forget that music exists?).
It's interesting how you dont need to hit the goal tape to complete the levels.
the only thing I disliked about this tas is 1, the length felt too short, and 2, the mini map just felt too large, it takes up a good majority of the screen. im not sure if that's somthing you can disable.
other than that, yes vote from me!

I wouldn’t exactly consider steam achievements to be considered in game goals, they are more of a goal set up by steam. You cant reset your progress to re-achieve those goals unless you were to play the game again on a brand new steam account. I dont want achievements to be considered for future 100% runs for linux games.
Edit: that being said, im fine with “all tokens” being the branch, but I dont want a “100%” branch to require getting steam achievements.
