so why does [787] SNES Contra III: The Alien Wars "2 players" by hero of the day in 13:03.32 sound much better than cpadof's tas? they both use 1.43. I even dumped cpadof's TAS on snes9x-1.43-rerecording-svn10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWWsRXx2sYc. and the audio is just fine. (I also followed the dumping guide for snes9x movies)

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/49025512737328245 I played around with the death warps a bit and managed to save about 10 frames on the published run (when I resynced the published run to bizhawk 2.2.1). all I did was shoot as many enemies on screen as possible to reduce lag from the explosion.

the GBC version didnt look very appealing to me, plus I knew about the bootlegged games before I knew about the GBC game it was based on. I just wanted to do a bootlegged game for the heck of it and this was one I wanted to do for awhile.

I wish. For places like the the first tree entrance, if you jump up and down, the camera will actually move downward eventually reaching the right spot where Gomez is. This allowed me to see where he was so i could memorize the area surrounding him. I’m not exactly sure if there’s an easier way to see Gomez off screen. I do wish there was a cam hack available or something.

I actually brought this up in the GBHawk thread: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=472596#472596 What's weird is when I had tikevin83 playback the inputs for Mickey's Chase synced on both GBHawk and Gambette, both movies made it past the title screen just fine. So it isnt a problem with the encode, but just how GBHawk deals with Screen Transitions.

This is the main reason why I was suggesting it. Melee's TAS definitely shows off some fast and entertaining movement, but only for one character, Samus. Maybe if there was a Melee TAS in the future that could show off all character movements then I would be more favored for that. But I do believe that BoP and BtT has a place in stars, not just because it has good ratings and even won the N64 TAS of the year award, but also because it also has over 100k views on TVC. The run is definitely well received.
