What you should do is to disable Read-Only mode (Shift + 8), so that it says "movie now editable", then immediately save a new save-state and load it. This will allow you to resume recording.

Good thing it syncs, thanks. Does that mean I can state the game version as "USA/Europe" now? Sadly, the bayou level (Swamp of Begoniax 1) is a boring level anyway, because you can't speed it up. I went for all Yellow Lums for a little extra entertainment value, but apart from weaving in between the mines I can't really make it "interesting". I'll make sure not to jump about so much in Swamp of Begoniax 2.
