Perhaps we should give out golden feces to forum posters as well? People who aren't technically wrong or stupid most of the time, but you feel they deserve some feces anyway. Just something to mull over. Edit: Also, Xkeeper, do you find it ironic how you "go ballistic" when someone (who doesn't have english as his first language) mistakes lose for loose or vice versa, and yet you spell it "rediculous"? Just curious.

While we're at it, I think the 96 exit run of Super Mario World is better suited for first time viewers than the 11 exit run. As far as I can tell, the biggest reason the 11 exit run has had the SMW star is its length, newcomers prefer the short runs bla bla. I don't think this is unreasonable and might be correct. However, with the 120 star Mario 64 run recently getting the 16 exit run's star, I feel it's time to voice my opinion about the SMW runs again. I think the 96 exit run is far more impressive looking, and everything I've read about the 96 exit run from others seem to suggest it has no problem keeping a viewer's interest for the entirety of the run (which in my opinion can't be said about the 120 star M64 run). Just something to perhaps take a second look at. All this being said, the current 96 exit run is of relatively poor quality, so I understand some people would be opposed to starring it for the time being because of possible improvements. In that case we might perhaps revisit this as a new 96 exit run is published.

Tried to come up with a joke for this but nothing is funny enough. Anyway awesome wip. The chuck bounce took this concept to the next level!

Ozmodiar, Hit us up with a quick wip of the first few levels or so and see what you/everyone thinks.

Yeah it would be like watching mario do a water level over and over. That's how slow movement is without holding Y, if I recall correctly. I can think of more fun things to watch than water levels.

Why is this movie marked as "accepted" when it has a major desync problem? At the least, set it to "delayed" until it's repaired.
Major desync problem? That might be a bit strong, one frame of input is missing and it's already fixed and getting taken care of once Bisqwit has time.
When a submission movie that's marked as accepted doesn't complete the game, that's a pretty large problem, especially f someone decides to start encoding it. Besides, aren't you supposed to double-check that your movie plays all the way to completion before submitting it? Just a thought...
Losen up mate.

JXQ, Zurreco, Excellent contributions. More good posts complete with images and everything would make this forum a better place.

Nach, Good job commenting on what's important! Not that any other stuff here is important either, but you know.

is it just me or does it desync right at the last hit before movie end?
You're right, it's one frame short at the moment. It's getting fixed eventually.

I'm glad you finished this mrz. Great job, and I'm glad to have been a small part of the finished run (Bowser's Castle) ;) Voting yes.

Even if it might need some tweaking, I think it's a pretty good idea. Perhaps each mention of DMG could be accompanied by his nice picture he posted earlier, as well as a link to a page shortly explaining what DMG means and why it's used. That page would of course mention the possibility of DMG meaning something else (damage, etc) in the context he used it in, so as to avoid any misunderstandings. Can't see a lot of downsides here.

I don't feel I'm coming down hard on these people. In fact I applaud those with the courage to ask for an explanation on a part they misunderstood given they had a valid reason for doing so. Those that never owned a DMG or missed the context are entitled to ask. However those who continually forget or aren't paying attention when they're supposed to need to be dealt with accordingly.
That's great Nach. Don't you feel it hurts your credibility when you completely change your words in between posts like this though? I know I'd feel that way, and was just curious if we were on the same page on that issue.

Nach, Forgot this one: However, don't you agree that coming down so hard on these people, calling them "a bit of an idiot" and other things, might be a bit unreasonable? Note how that comment of yours had nothing to do with noticing the DMG on your Gameboy, which is what you said to JXQ in the above post.

Nach, This latest post of yours makes me feel you might not have considered how many others are not as well-informed on the subject of dot-matrix games as you are. The discussion in this thread clearly seems to indicate that GB is a more well-known term than DMG is. Don't you think it's reasonable to use the term more people will recognize, when talking to them (the less informed people)? I understand if you don't. However, don't you agree that coming down so hard on these people, calling them "a bit of an idiot" and other things, might be a bit unreasonable?

How do you chose a random creature? Flip them all over, shuffle them, and pick one?
Point to them in order, saying "1", "2", "3", etc. Then roll a die. If lots of creatures, divide them into groups first I guess.

That's fine. Either way Fabian would take home that award, since it was definitely more used (or overused) than the dumptruck.

What about the platinum ghetto dumptrucks? Same line of thought, except more "in" than Fabian ever will be.
You shouldn't feel bad because you lost that battle. It's all in the past now.
