Let's steer this into something more exciting. What do you guys usually have for breakfast? See I usually only eat one meal a day, and I'm trying to change my eating habits into something more healthy. The problem is, in the morning I don't feel like preparing all this elaborate stuff, considering I'm not really hungry to begin with. So, why don't you guys list some easy to prepare, hopefully healthy good cool breakfast stuff you eat, to give me some ideas. Also, feel free to discuss anything breakfast related. Thanks.

Fabian, I'm not badmouthing Phil. As you know, I've always liked Phil's work. I'm saying that these people are using Phil's good name to make their presumably unfresh eggs appear to be more fresh.
Ah I see now. Cool, then you're ok again, off the list. holla

It's simple. Someone is using Phil's good name to promote their fresh eggs, and that's not right. I bet those eggs aren't even that fresh.
Why would you say they're not fresh? Are you badmouthing Phil? Don't you fucking badmouth Phil or I'll come after you.

Someone (can't remember who) already mentioned that a few weeks ago or something. There's a hidden hole in the ceiling right above the Yoshi block in the first room you enter. I tried flying to the left, under the normal "level" to see if there was something similiar there, but no, eventually the level just ends. I didn't explore the SMW levels very much but I remember you were taken to a level in Forest of Illusion as well.

I don't understand what you're saying. Because you terminated so early, the game does not end. Right?

I don't understand this either. Are you saying I'm an idiot for objecting to the way the run ends?

I don't understand what you're saying. Because you terminated so early, the game does not end. Right? I don't see how it's a judge's job to modify the submitted run, I imagine that's up to the author.

Is it necessary to hit Robotnik? I thought you just had to move to the right and the game would end, no matter if you hit Robotnik. I can live without the Robotnik hit for sure, but I hope a run which doesn't end the game doesn't get accepted, and I would change my vote to no if I could, for the time being.

Isn't it in the guidelines or somewhere that the game should end? You guys know we can still control Sonic after this run is finished, right? We have to go to the right manually to end the game and get the ending credits and stuff. There's no excuse for this in my book.

I voted yes, although somewhat reluctantly. I don't think it's a great idea to begin with, like others have stated. Some of the stylistic choices made the movie much less enjoyable to me as well, especially when comparing it to the existing run. And yeah, not ending the game was not a good call I think. I'd feel much better about voting yes if the game actually did end, I hope this is fixed.

If it wasn't for my much larger amount of silly one-liners I'd take that bet in a second, my friend!

Cool. Feel free to PM your progress as you go along. I'd be happy to "spot mistakes" (watch for fun) :)

It took 3½ months or something like that. I do think you might be proven wrong skamastaG, then again I don't know how hard you will work :) I ignored fadeout lag in my 96 exit run, yes. I strongly suggest you do the same in yours. Otherwise you'll have lots of fun figuring out which coins to skip and which enemies to kill, in the current as well as previous levels, I'm guessing. I've stated my opinion about fadeout lag (should be optimized in a short run, should be ignored in a long run) before, but here it is again! Edit: JXQ truly is a beast by the way. And yeah, heh :) Good luck though. Will the WIP's be public? Or semi-public (ie send them to me so I can "spot mistakes" (ie watch for fun (I enjoy parantheses)))?

When me and JXQ did our run, I would do a level, send the run back to him after I was done, he would often replay it to correct my mistakes, then do a level or five of his own and send it back to me. Next day, repeat. Splitting it up and hexing it together won't work. You'll have to come up with a schedule/routine that works well for you. It probably helped us that we live on different continents, since it meant we'd more rarely want to work at the same time. I don't really remember that coming up a lot, do you JXQ? Speaking of that run I think it's almost exactly a year since I (and soon after, JXQ) started it. Cool.

Dash = X/Y? In that case, you can keep it pressed, and have to keep it pressed during the "5" part of the cycle. Edit: Hope you enjoy it! Hint: Watch mine, not JXQ's!

Faster than running, yes. Not doable on console, requires frame precision, and is a pain to do even with frame advance.

tasvideos.org/SuperMarioWorldTricks.html In short, a technique to movie slightly faster than holding -> continuously would result in, while still keeping the "P-meter" charged. Details can be found in the link.

greginator, the way to fix this is to jump lower or higher. In rare cases it might not be possible, and you'd have to run for 10 frames instead, though I can't think of a situation where this would have to happen. If you do have to "fix" this in some way (again, I don't think this should ever happen), experimenting around with stuff like you mention might be worthwhile.

Is the problem that you actually don't know what the words mean, or is it too much slang? Or something else?
It's not that I don't understand the words, though I'm guessing the fast pace might have something to do with it. I don't know it's kinda hard to explain. I think part of it is that I'm not used to listening to english being spoken so fast, and I guess unclear. Like if you're watching a movie or whatever, people will almost always talk in a way you (I) can clearly understand and have time to process everything or something. Even though I consider myself to understand english just as well as swedish under normal circumstances, in certain situations something just doesn't click, probably because of inexperience. Like if I hung out with 5 americans for a month I'm pretty sure this problem/phenomenon would go away, at least temporarily. Here's a new brilliant theory I just thought of. I think it's because many words sound a lot like each other to someone like me, and your (my) brain forms a sentence that makes no sense, and you're kinda hung up on that for a bit, so you can't process the rest of that sentence. That made no sense, so here's an example. Second line of As I Write (still the only song I've listened to more than once here): "This chicken scratch isn't matched in givin' me tranquility" Ok. Since the first time I heard the song, this line has started out like this in my head: "This chick is scratched bla bla makes no sense", and once you (I) decide that this is the line in the song, it's tough to hear anything else. Also, you(r brain) get confused when you can't make sense of stuff, so you kinda just pass by it unless you really concentrate on understanding what's going on. I don't know if this made any sense to you americans, since you should never have this problem. I hope the non-native guys can understand what I'm talking about though. This is something I find really interesting actually, how language is understood and processed in the brain. I definitely know I work differently with swedish and english, unconsciously.
