Just for the curious, I tend to stick to 480p myself. My net connection is too bad for anything higher.

320*240... that... is really quite odd. It almost looks like they're downsizing it. @.@ Perhaps a 4K video intended for YouTube should be fed into it and see what happens, heh... worst comes to worst, it downsizes.

The Super Mario Bros. 3 stream is somewhat ugly and scaled... does anyone have any information as to what resolutions Screwattack transcodes to? Also, I'm not sure if I'll make an account myself... I usually do keep inside 500 megabytes, but quite a few of my HD encodes break that easily, again, resolution information would clear this up by quite a bit. It turns out I made an account over a year ago... does adelikat feel like letting me post videos onto the show?

As it turns out, I finally figured out how to work the YouTube moderator module on, well, YouTube. Thinking of a use for it, one question immediately came to mind, what resolution do people watch my video in? To find out, I set up a poll. For the sake of organization, I suggest you answer the question inside my YouTube account, this requires a YouTube account that has been linked with a Google account to answer the question (I don't particularly like being forced to have a linked account either). Anyway, feel free to unleash the ravages of your opinions onto my YouTube channel!

I thought 1Gb was the upload limit to youtube.
The Java uploader has a limit of 20 gigabytes. More documentation here.

It's was slow and somewhat boring... but it's an incrediblyoptimized TAS. Very much a very strong Meh vote.

I payed an artist 50c each for 35 images (Around $18.50 iirc)... I'm waiting for the last 25 to be drawn. I wanted consistency in my avatars. I was actually expecting worse quality... Larvitar gave me a pleasant surprise. If you want some cheap avatars from her, give me (or her) a buzz. Though, there is only 10 slots left for the cheap avatars.

Uh, as far as I can gather, what you're seeing happen is colourspace reduction... though, my MEncoder skills are less than optimal. Grunt, help here, please! *hinthintnudgenudge* But I do feel that I need to inform you that Uncompressed video doesn't exactly heighten the quality. There is a reason that every single screenshot I've made for TASVideos in recent times has come from a frame from one of my raw CamStudio codec dumps... it's 100% lossless, despite being compressed. Similarly, FFV1 can compress into RGB32 much in the same way CamStudio codec does. But the thing is, they all must be converted to the YV12 colourspace for encoding. Yes, raw uncompressed RGB32 video can achieve the same result as CamStudio codec... but it isn't worth the space wastage. For me, it's actually faster to dump into the CamStudio codec because my Hard Drive is so slow... that, and I lack the capacity to process uncompressed video.

Since I've got the spare time, I'll encode this in SD as well... Optimized screenshot: Publishing this when I get home.

No voting because this really isn't worth encoding. These submissions tire me.

I swear, the moment I get access to my personal computer again, this is getting encoded so fast YouTube won't know what hit it.
