Why do you care about encode quality if you think this run is terrible anyway, and you don't care for the site because you can't accept the landslide vote?
Because encode quality has nothing to do with the run, barring console.

I optimized Sonikkustar's screenshot because it is that awesome. Also, Yes voted after finally watching it. This run is far more entertaining than the previous one, a difficult feat.

I'm also highly disappointed that this isn't published. I only encode HD movies of TAS's I am sure that will be published. I thought it was reasonably entertaining given the situation.

One of my favorite runs of all time, improved. God damn right I am encoding this in HD! Mukki, I assume my statements towards you in the IRC channel show my excitement.

Since the support for the tank screenshot seems overwhelming, I'll use that instead. I initially didn't use it because... well, I don't know. When it is 11:30PM, logic for me goes out the window.

Not encoding in HD. Consider this my No vote, sorry. The unoptimization of it just isn't ticking my clock right.

I'd have published this right now... except there is no Standard Definition encode available. This is the suggested preoptimized screenshot (The game isn't... good for screenshots), I'll publish this as soon as either an encode is made by someone else or someone else publishes it for me, hehehe.

We have no problem with an author submitting multiple movies, notable examples are maTO and Ryuto (If I recall correctly). Though, the run still should be completely optimized and the hack unique enough.

Apart from the Kitchen Sink getting clogged, that sums it up rather nicely.

Will you be submitting this speedrun to TASVideos?... Also, this is also a rather awkward place to announce that you've made a TAS, can I suggest inside the NES forum instead next time?

Dailymotion also I see no reason not to publish this. The fastest Super Mario Bros. unassisted run is 5:00ish, correct? They follow the same or similar route, the TAS and unassisted run, correct? Similar situation here, except, completely different genre. Or so I assume. That, and the smiley face was vaguely amusing.

Because everyone is voting yes, I may as well make my first HD NDS TAS encode. The authors suggested screenshot:

Am I the only one here that thinks it'd make sense to separate runs according to language? I can imagine far less drama if this were so... publications of the same game across multiple languages could cause a bit of redundancy though, despite being part of a possible solution. Who knows. Though, I'm guessing the effort needed database side could be too much. @.@

Personally, I find the Mega Drive and SNES sound systems incomparable. Both suck in different areas, and both rock in others. I can't be assed going into specific examples right now, but I really do get the feeling that the crappy audio circuitry in the Model II's really gave the Mega Drive a horrid rep. That, and no one ever bothered to use the GEMS sound driver as anything more than a MIDI to Mega Drive converter (Though, there are exceptions). Makes me sort of wonder why it was the standard North American sound driver, ease of use put aside.

I disagree. I think that Publishers and Movie Editors are pretty much equivilant... if not some more of the power leaning towards Movie Editors. I'd kill for the power to edit unjudged submissions, mostly so that I don't have to post that I've uploaded the video to YouTube though, heh.

Whoever is in charge, please change the link in the description of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry2ySc5EeHc&feature=channel Link is wrong. There's an extra "i" between TAS and Videos.
Technically the video isn't even linked to anymore. Though, it would make sense to fix it, assuming a random stranger just happens to accidentally find this upload.

I say Ness and Sness.

I say Gooey.
Is a uniform resource locator (okay, I admit I had to look it up...) an "Earl" or a U-R-L?
I say U-R-L, hehehe.

What the problem is in my eyes is that, quite simply, the rules are too strict for trying to mold everything into one single, for the lack of better term, category. I'm actually semi-surprised that the concept of allowing multiple languages for TAS's hasn't actually been allowed provided that they be published in separate sections according to language. I'm pretty sure this could also help solve some fan translation debates. Some of us want Mother 3 in English and some of us want Mother 3 in Japanese.
