I'd say go all four chapters for both the novelty value of having the most absurdly long TAS on the site and to give encoders headaches. Oh, and that the game actually has a good reason for doing all four chapters, of course.

It was fairly... slow, but short enough for me to tolerate. Weak Yes vote and encoding in HD. After this I reencode Survival Kids, hehehe.

start /wait x264.exe "mixed.avi" --stats "./bothumh.stats" --deldup 20 --versioninfo --ssim --pass 1 --bitrate 320 --keyint 500 --ref 15 --mixed-refs --no-fast-pskip --bframes 16 --b-adapt 2 --mbtree --weightb --direct auto --subme 10 --trellis 2 --partitions all --me tesa --merange 64 --threads 2 --8x8dct --no-dct-decimate --output "encodedboth.mp4"
start /wait x264.exe "mixed.avi" --stats "./bothumh.stats" --deldup 20 --versioninfo --ssim --pass 3 --bitrate 320 --keyint 500 --ref 15 --mixed-refs --no-fast-pskip --bframes 16 --b-adapt 2 --mbtree --weightb --direct auto --subme 10 --trellis 2 --partitions all --me tesa --merange 64 --threads 2 --8x8dct --no-dct-decimate --output "encodedboth.mp4"
This is the script I previously used, but I doubt it's compatible with Mencoders's x264 encoder. This is the version of x264 I used instead, I've found it to be pretty reliable. Just uh, be aware that the above script is incredibly slow, painstakingly slow...
start /wait x264.exe "mixed.avi" --stats "./bothumh.stats" --deldup 20 --versioninfo --ssim --crf 20 --keyint 500 --ref 15 --mixed-refs --no-fast-pskip --bframes 16 --b-adapt 2 --mbtree --weightb --direct auto --subme 10 --trellis 2 --partitions all --me tesa --merange 64 --threads 2 --8x8dct --no-dct-decimate --output "encodedboth.mp4"
I suggest using this one instead, adjusting the crf value as needed. It's pretty similar to what Aktan also uses (But he somehow has an even tougher script, no doubt he increased the keyint value). The thing is, these all need external muxing, so... yeah.

Bisqwit I could just hug you. Time to see how to fit that into the newsletter while still being readable... hopefully the laser printers they use won't go low on ink.

Yep, I've received the email. It looks like my Dailymotion account shall once again become very active.

If no improvements are found within the next day, I'll reencode this.

I've tried to add you as a friend, DailyMotions friend system is very confusing however. I still cannot find any way to add you to the group, sadly. We've been getting too many bots trying to join the group (Though the flow has slowed down recently), if I still had access to the main TASVideos account (I ceded it to adelikat because... well, he asked me to) I'd turn off the member moderation to try and get you to join again.

Retry, it wasn't me that rejected you, I'll accept you right away assuming it lets you. If you can't get it, see about getting yourself forced into the group with my consent, assuming the Creative Content people can also administrate groups with unlimited control. I don't get why there isn't a feature to invite people into a group, personally. Spam prevention is the only thing to come to mind.

Every attempt I've had at uploading Tool Assisted Speedruns to Dailymotion has failed. But if you are really confident you can make them be validated as creative content, I have a 5 hour TAS and a 40 minute TAS that have been refused Creative Content status. I also admit uploading Breath of Fire II to torture the person that had to watch it and ultimately reject its Creative Content status, that is how frustrated I am with the MotionMaker program. Incidentally, I became a MotionMaker via non-TAS related video.

Move to page 14 for the advertisements. Look, people, either you suggest to me how to make the advertisement (Or make one yourself) or I make one solo, and doubtless it will be unoptimal. Believe it or not, I need your help.

It says the possible creators, not the actual creators. They're just guessing.

Too late now, the encode has already finished. It's in YouTube's upload queue now... part 2 of Tempo has a huge ass.

Yes voted and HD encoding. I found it reasonably enjoyable.

Just because it says it is by Somari Team does not mean it was made by Hummer Team. I want firm, absolutely conclusive evidence.

Yes voted and encoding in High Definition, also testing out the new logo and seeing how people react to it... I need to get myself an animated one at some point. Anyone know someone that can animate 120 frames at 60 fps in 1080p? Hehehe. *ahem* Anyway, I was entertained throughout the run. Edit: Okay, because Gens sucks, the PWM channel mysteriously turned itself off when I played the movie... so... yeah, fix that bug or something; I can imagine it becoming annoying in the future. Anyway, this will take longer than wanted.

There seem to be at least a couple issues with the publication: 1. The attached movie file is named marioadventure-andymac. Usually, the player name is written first in the movie files.
Aaack, I knew I stuffed something up. I'd fix this now but... I am incapable of replacing input files. I can't believe I made such a simple mistake.

As an important note, the YouTube link is actually a playlist; because of this, you manually have to click the link to view the videos. This is also a shoutout to Nach to implement playlist support into the streaming media buttons.

I'll watch this as soon as your encode is up, Flygon!
Not gonna happen, it turns out Aktan outawesomes me very soon... I take 48 hours, he takes just 10. So lets watch this in High Definition instead, the only possible way I can even hope to outawesome Aktan... bandwidth allowing. Playlist (Suggested) Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6

Yes voting, I enjoyed it. Currently encoding in both MP4 and MKV form; I would actually prefer the MKV got published, but... whatever. I'll encode this in High Definition also. I am not kidding you. It won't be that hard to make a 5 part encode. Also, in case you magically missed it in the submission text, you, adelikat, owe andymac one American dollar. This isn't tax deductible.

I actually tried to do this. I ended up making a 128 megabyte AVI composed entirely of PCM. So basically, I have lost all and utter hope of Mupen 64 actually working after four attempts.
