As said, I'm encoding this now, logocombining is being impossible so far however for some stupid reason. Yes voted anyway.

They're not actually in the signature.
They're in the space between the persons post and the next post, it seems pretty signature-like to me.
It's meant to seem like a signature. But it's not actually a signature, it's in a post signature block.
Exactly! It seems like a signature! So what it isn't inside the persons actual signature, it's close enough to be pretty much inside it.

<erokky> ugh no no no no no <erokky> Under the avatar or something, not the sig. <Fluffygon> I agree <Fluffygon> I also want an option to actually hide them <Fluffygon> Every time I see them, I feel more and more imcompetent <Fluffygon> It's degrading <erokky> If I had my way, they'd appear only on the profile page. <Fluffygon> ...that's an even better idea
I personally think they are distracting and honestly, demotivational. The fact images are technically forbidden in signatures is somewhat hypocritical. Edit: Additional statements below.
<erokky> Also have alt text on mouse over so we know what the award is <erokky> Because Mario in a lab coat means nothing to me -- snip -- <Toothache> [09:45:20] <erokky> Because Mario in a lab coat means nothing to me <- never heard of Dr Mario? <erokky> Yes, but in the sense of TASvideos awards, I have no idea what it represents. <Toothache> that is a good point

I've officially given up encoding this game. A solution I found that could have worked required making a 640*448 dump... and I couldn't get past the logocombining stage (Yes, the logo was the exact same specs as the movie itself)... so, I'm buggered.

Toothache, I am talking about the AVI dumped straight from the emulator to my desktop (Yes, I dump AVIs there, have a problem with that? *Stares at all the other encoders*). If it came from the mixed AVI then there would have been colourspace issues. Anyway, I think the dumped AVI just has different timings, which is confusing, both Gens and the AVI run at 60fps.

I got the screenshot from my completely lossless AVI dump, just raw RGB. The AVI dump must have different timings.

I just tried to encode it at a bitrate of 350 with the toughest script I can use. It looks like garbage. This game is going to have to go over the 4 to 1 ratio, a warning to other encoders out there. I am going to try with a bitrate of 600 now.

Didn't that one need a specific version of FCEU to sync? Or am I thinking of a different run?

Somehow, I think we managed to get two completely different screenshots. This one is already pre-optimized.

RadioKJ, I am encoding a most probably publish worthy encode right this minute. Also, the game gets a very weak Yes vote from me, it's incredibly slow but... we've had worse games published.

How could that happen? I don't get it.
I basically broke the TASVideoAgent because adelikat asked me to by literally submitting a 0.3 frame long TAS (It would be 0 frames long, but the TASVideoAgent rejected it as an invalid movie file, it measures the length of Mega Drive movies by diving the total amount of input bytes by 3, which is how a length of 0.3 frames is possible, it divided 1/3rd of a null button press). The goal of the TAS was to colour in the title screen, which is done automatically for you by the game.

As far as I am aware, the only difference between characters physical wise is the weapon range. This is based on real-time observation though, so take it with a grain of salt.

The reason the magic was never full as to reduce the animation time of the magic. The man at his maximum capacity has a longer animation, effectively reversing the point of the whole 'less magic' thing.

I am incapable of giving a judgement of what if heavy luck manipulation or not, I admit it. That is why the tag frustrates me, I don't know how to use it.

I think you are confusing "manipulates luck" (which as a generic concept is rather pointless because every time there's an RNG there is "luck manipulation) and "heavy luck manipulation", which is something else completely. The latter is a very narrow subset of the former, and that is what makes it interesting.
That's the problem, heavily manipulates luck is a very ambiguous and opinionated term. What is heavy to one person is a simple poke to another.

We already have an award for humor. I don't think we should start calling certain types of humor innovative.
Altered Beast anyone? For the record, I lack any suggestions... my sense of picking up innovation is effectively put, broken.

I also nominate maTO, mostly because he indeed made garbage games good and gave me an encoding experience I'll never forget.

I think the main problem with guides is that they don't give human interaction to solve questions that may be unexpected and therefor unanswerable in a guide. May I suggest perhaps a list of people that may be able to volunteer to help new people?

I see no reason against it going outside of your namespace, it helps to have more then one persons opinion on it anyway.

I can only hope that Star Light Zone will be as fruitful as Marble and Labyrinth Zone have been, but I'm not too enthusiastic, the zone is incredibly stable and has an incredibly slow boss (You can only get one hit in every time he attacks you). We've also ran into syncing issues with stitching zones together, there seems to be a counter that messes up projectile based badniks, so this slows down progress much worse then we hoped... so... we're going to have to work on optimizing Green Hill Zone as a whole soon, that whole zone is a pain in the ass to plan a route for.
