Uh... several posts ago, I've stated the circumstances have changed. I've actually asked for the topic to be locked.

Replaced Aktans audio stream with my encodes one with his permission It syncs perfectly, but the audio is of lower quality (Personally, I can't hear much difference, but my hearing sucks quality wise). I need help. Should we publish this with: a) My lossy 8mb encode (It's hard to notice the encoding artifacts, but they are there) b) The Aktan video/Flygon audio hybrid at 12mb c) Aktan's extremely high quality audio encode, at 20mb I have no idea what to use, if this is accepted. We need YOUR help viewers!

Time to encode the 2500th submission. Edit: I had to hex the submission to work without a BIOS file, I must ask why a BIOS file is needed for this movie if it is not needed to work. Below is some files: Fixed VBM (Syncs perfectly fine, I just changed the byte demanding BIOS, I'd publish it with this one instead if at all possible) DailyMotion Archive.org At the time of writing, the DailyMotion and Archive.org links were still uploading, so download at your own risk.

There is a snag with the whole Motion Maker thing. You must submit movies longer then 20 minutes as Creative Content, and the DailyMotion staff is both slow (For approving or rejecting creative content) and unreceptive to TASs. I have uploaded the whole single part video of Crusader of Centy (Which lacks any DailyMotion links at the moment due to splitting issues) a few days ago, and they still haven't accepted or rejected it. An automated system would work great for sub-20 minute movies however. However, if they do approve the Crusader of Centy TAS, I think it could be an effective (If not heavily delayed) solution for post 20 minute movies.

I vote Yes, despite my very heavy preference for the SMS version (Which I think deserves a publication alongside the GG version, the two are different enough).

Okay, due to exceptional circumstances, I may be able to have ADSL at my fathers very soon, we are both amazed. We expected Dial Up until January. I am at my Mothers and now take my leave off publishing, but I will not be able to publish at my previous rate. Lock this topic please. Edit: Incidentally, somehow, I became a MotionMaker on DailyMotion, lets party! I wish I found out sooner, damn lack of internet. =p

Three weeks is long enough for my eyes, I mean, without either Grunt or I being able to do the work, the other remaining publishers will have the workbench absolutely flooding them, something that would make me sad. Also, no, Dad isn't letting me tether the iPhone to my laptop, not even for IRC only usage, the 750 megabyte download/upload cap has made him paraniod. Incidentally, I've been working on the Somari TAS and have found that FCEUX is incapable of emulating the game correctly, getting past Labyrinth 3 without level select is impossible, if I am able to get a dial up account soon, I will display why. Why isn't this in the Somari topic? I know no one will bother looking there, that, and making two different posts is a pain with an iPhone.

Due to some further information, it turns out I may wind up limited to a dial up connection (if I get one) until janurary. Because of this, I temporarally resign as publisher. That is all.

Due to the fact I am in the process of moving house, I will be incapable of publishing any movies or indeed be reliably active. The reason this message is not more formal is because I have no access to a landline based internet connection. I am typing this via my fathers iPhone. I will be bored out of my mind during this absense no doubt, but take note of this. I still care very much about publishing movies for TASVideos and that I hope this is only a short break.

I have a question. Do you ever feel any of these questions are just so needlessly insane that they are just not worth answering?

Why am I so completely unsurprised. It's somewhat unrelated, but Gens+ also has issues with Final Conflict. Anyone know what is so special about the force games that *ahem*, force this problem?

The H.264 codec is terrible for this game, even the 'lossless' encode in H.264 had massive colour issues. Oh well. Archive.org DailyMotion Encoded at a bitrate of 80 with the heaviest script I could use. Audio at -1. There is no hope in improving this games video quality in terms of the muddiness in the colours unless we use a completely different codec.

By the way, I have a question. Is the rerecord count real? Because 7777 seems a bit too out of whack for my liking.

Another 'perfect' game improved? Well I never! Edit: This post was made before looking at the publication.

Nemeses.
I'd just stick with Nemesis's. It makes the most sense.

Funny, I watched the previous TAS just today. I'll pick it up for encoding now, this will be a very fun game to have an optimization competition with. Edit: Clearly Raiscan is insane, I'm incapable of going below 341kb without getting quality issues... just, what on Earth. o.O Edit 2: Got to 275kb.

Changed the description. You know, I feel rather silly. Almost every movie based game that ends up being published I have either not watched or haven't seen forever. There IS a reason I put the TODO's there editors! Put your powers to good use!

The quality is 100% lossless. It turned out to be smaller to make it lossless then to use a high enough bitrate to achieve the same size. I don't think it'd be the first someone tried though. =P

"Ponta is a raccoon dog and Hinako is a bird." I feel compelled to encode this as soon as possible. Edit: Okay, making a few test encodes now, but this is very slow because of the fact I am also encoding that Jungle Book. That, and I have to go to bed very soon. Edit 2: My tests are unsuccessful. Grunt, I hand this encode completely to you. You win this round. =p
