I've decided to start some serious work on this. The game appears to have a frame rule, I am not quite sure exactly what number it is, but in a previous attempt I secured somewhere in the range of 861 to 864 frames (Due to the time I ended the recording). This effort ends at frame 867. I chose to use the lasers instead of bombs because the location of the bricks is so bad that its slower (Using a laser has lag frames depending on how far apart the lasers are). Manipulating the enemy movements seems to be determined based on a seed when you begin the game, I'll have to look into this a lot more and hope that this isn't the case. The only improvements that I can really see would be to put the lasers closer together at the first 'wave', if at all possible (Which would also explain the frame discrepancy between the first test and the 'serious' recording). Also, all the assumptions in my previous posts about the RNG are incorrect. Its based on input. Edit: Disregard ANY comment on the frame rule, I actually managed to reach 867 frames FOUR times. I've optimized this to reach 865 frames now, and of course, walk through the enemy. Edit 2: YEEEEES! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I SHAVED OFF 20 FRAMES! THE FIRST STAGE NOW STANDS AT 845! Edit 3: Did stage 2, will be redoing the bonus round to fix a lost frame.[/url] Edit 4: Shaved off 20 frames from stage 2 through better positioning and laser placement. Edit 5: Video of the above improvement to be edited in soon. Edit 6: Said video. Edit 7: Just saved 100 frames due to luck manipulation... on the first stage alone.

People care more about the Wii than the 64. Simple as that, really.

Looks like its being resubmitted. *Removes video off YouTube* Someone needs to remove the current Gimmick! run link from the current run by the way.

Desyncs, plus DailyMotion has utterly put YouTube out of service.

Don't worry, I've dropped out of service completely. YouTube is just a horrible service.

You are using it on Luke? I guess the option for sword upgrades makes sense.

I've used that page plenty of times, its how I came to my conclusion of DailyMotion among other things. Nothing beats practical experience, Viddler proves that.

You mean partner status? Knowing how much of a niche market we fulfill, we have no chance.

Its a matter of finding what upsets people the least. So far, this site upsets me the least. Okay, I will be uploading more videos tomorrow, I would do it now but: 1. My Mothers internet speed is garbage. 2. My Mothers download/upload limit is too small to do this safely.

Okay, this website is beginning to give me back pains. Five failed attempts of uploading the same clip with various encoding settings. Now I'm just uploading it to YouTube to see if it even works. IMPORTANT NOTICE! CLICK THE LINK BELOW! CLICK ME NOW! Tell me, is there frame rate issues?

Custom encoded in x264 upload running in seemingly perfect 30fps+. Possibly important note here, I used an AVI. Anyway, I'll have to find a TAS that has an AVI encode thats short enough (Because my internet is crap) and upload it to see if the laws of frame rates with-hold there. Edit: To those curious minds, its a recording of a ROM hack. A teaser so to say. VERY IMPORTANT EDIT BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, it turns out there is a way to fix the whole frame rate issue! You have to get the direct player source as I have and well, link to it that way! ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT EDIT! Well, it only solved my side of the problem, as the poster below points out. Move on with your day *Shuffles you out of my post*. Super Mario Bros. in 'fixed' format for the record.

I've shuffled through the list throughout the week, and trust me, its nearly impossible to get a good video website without having a pre-mid 2006 account or a partners account on YouTube or hosting it yourself. Google Video would have worked decently riiiiiight up until they closed the service.

I see nothing harmful in it. It does not affect the game play whatsoever and it improves the viewer output. Where is the harm in improving viewer experience without determent?

Its weird, sometimes the videos run at a good FPS (Around YouTube HQ grade), yet at others it seems jittery. Still, its wonderful to have a service not bound by the time restrictions outputted by YouTube. The below post seems to sum it up beautifully. However, I'll still leave some examples. Viddler upload of the most recent SMB TAS. HQ YouTube upload of the SMB TAS. I'll admit that the YouTube one has a different encode that was at 640*480, but the purpose of this is purely showing the frame rate issues.

Oh, damn, looks like I'm stuck with a desynced encode than. I loved the TAS itself though. ^_^

Uploading this to YouTube. Please remove the YouTube link from the previous Gimmik! runs TAS as I will be removing it to prevent duplicate results when people look for this TAS. Uploaded. Edit: I think it desynced, is there any way to get an encode that was made in exactly the same fashion as Kiwi Kraze? Yes vote btw.
