I'd want to upload this to YouTube, but in a weeks time, the TAS's speed will magically become 4:55.

I'm a little skeptical that the author of this hack saved any time hacking SMB1 instead of just writing a new game from scratch!.
Thats like saying Sonic Megamix isn't a hack of Sonic 1, even though its on the Sega CD. With ASM, you can do anything. I am personally completely unsurprised that many thing from this hack were done (Such as the giganto background layer Bowser).

I imagine it'd be easy for you to make TAS's for them, with a bit of effort in learning their engines. I mean, you broke the hell out of Super Mario Bros. surprisingly quickly.

Looks like I'll be removing HappyLee's movie when this is published, if he does not mind. On YouTube of course.

Uh Flygon... What's with your avatar?
I'm a Shining Force addict. I play it, I animate it, I hack it, I breathe it. Well, perhaps not the last one.

Wait, wait, wait... Something is out of place here. What's the NES's sprite size limit? There's no way Bowser can grow THAT big...
Bowser can be that big. Super Mario Bros. 3 did exactly the same thing in the ship levels. Basically, an extra chip inside the game helps scroll part of the background, and well, some sort of mystery trick that I don't know how it works. Basically, there is a psudo-2nd background layer. Anyway, will watch when encoded.

It did? Nuts. I better add a warning to the video... I have not listen to it with sound yet.
