I'd think that this game'd be a good exception for the translation rule. The story is touching and well, if someone has never played the game before, they'd like to have motivation to watch a 6-8 hour long movie. Being in english is a good start.

My first TAS I saw was also that SMB3 run. However, the video description kind of said it was a TAS. I joined the bandwagon and youtube late. Being 17 is fuuuun.

I'll have to snip the credits and all, but I'll happily upload this to youtube. It'll probably be in 8 hours unless someone makes an encode right now though. ^.^

Well, after lengthy discussion, I'll be doing a two player TAS, after realizing certain things that could potentially kill certain bosses almost instantly, and hopefully kill the 3rd boss BEFORE IT EVEN GETS THE SHIELDS UP.

nineko has sexy encodes. Just watched it, this is WAY more than enough to get a yes vote.

It would only really add to killing the bosses a bit faster, but overall, it wouldn't majorly help the run and just double the workload for me. Of course the video misses shots, I just made it as an example of what I could do, I recorded it at 3% and no rerecords. If I actually made a TAS, it'd be with frame advance and rerecording (And not just 56 like my 2 year old submission).

This is just being recorded at 3% speed, imagine if I did it with frame advance. No, that video wouldn't ever be used for a serious submission. I've considered doing this run again, but I've got a question before I consider starting it. Does it really have to be a two player version of the run for it to be accepted? I'm happy to do a single player run, but a two player version is way over my head. Yes, I've also been doing my research on the game, such as the usual left+right glitches (Of which there MAY be a useful one, for making the ships hit box smaller, but I need to put in more research). I've also figured out that I'd generally need to be as close to things as possible to avoid the two shots on screen limit at once too. But yeah, the general question is, is it possible to do a single player (and optimized) run and still have it accepted here?

Why not figure out a way to force Youtube to read 512*192 or 256*384 videos as high definition, and thus not really loose any detail when watching it in high definition. ^.^

I decided to vote Meh. It has bonus points for being a TAS. But the main problems for me is that it was really monotone, and that it is, of course, improvable. I look forwards in the future for a MKDS run though. ^.^

Never ever played Chrono Trigger. I don't care, going by the comments, this sounds great. Yes, I am a lazy bum that cannot be bothered setting up the emulator. We have encoders for that. *bricked*

It took longer to log into youtube than to actually download the encode, ignoring Rapidshares wait time of course. ^.^ Fastest game of Cluedo ever played. Yes, I said Cluedo. Thanks nineko for the encode.

My views are differently skewed, 7 for entertainment, 4 for technical. He had pre-existing tools that probably made this easier to implemement.

I'm interested in hosting this on youtube, mainly because it is a PC Engine game, but, well, you get the general point. Can't wait for any sort of encode. =P
