Odd, every time I try to watch a video it is in mono. And how come game boy developers always went stereo and mega drive developers didn't? =P

10 could easily be taken literally with games like F-117 Night Storm or something. But you forgot one very important point. 11. Patience is needed or else you will become insane.

I had to register just for this. :D About time I do so too. Am I the only one who finds the fact that NVA has a black screen as a screenshot hilarious? If I could vote, yes would be the answer.
You are not the only person amused by this.

Replying to old topics: As far as I know, SMB1 doesn't initialize some things in RAM (the level number, mainly) when booting up. Since FCEU does, this is impossible, but if you were to load a cartridge, eject it, and then insert SMB1 without turning off the power (soft-reset OK), it would leave garbage in memory and you could abuse that. The same effect could be gained from having a savestate at reset that made that value whatever. (Although agreeing on the warping straight there entertainment loss)
So, uh... we make FCEU "less" accurate in emulation? But I do agree that this is a good idea, if not a bit entertainment kicking, yes.

I assume that you could edit the movie with a hex editor. But I am not the person to ask when it comes to knowing how to edit the movie, sorry.

I'm kind of confused as to why this was rejected. I mean, the viewer response according to me was 72% positive so uh...?

I think he is refferng to a Sonic 3 stand alone run, which in my opinion would actually be quite nice (More glitchiness than Sonic 3 and Knuckles anyone?)

I have yet another question, if i make a (good) run, should it be 2 player or 1 player? Because part of the rejection text said that among the reason it was rejected was because it used 1 player, yet I see tonnes of 1 player runs despite the 2 player option =P

Can I suggest that someone else encodes this movie and shows it to Bisqwit?

Going by the description this sounds like the game would be very entertaining to see a TAS of, I say keep up the good work and I look forward to the end result.

I don't know if it would work, not many would see the productivity of it though if combined with a 1-2-3 step guide to TASing I think it could turn out quite well.

I do agree that many newbies are scared away from TASing to a serious extent due to the time and dedication needed but I can still think of several SHORT games that could probably be TASed by anyone. The main problem is, as many people have mentioned, no one will notice these games because quiet often they are of little popularity (For example, a TAS of Mr. Chins Gourmet Paradise would be crap easy to do, half the movie would probably end up being next stage screens anyway). But yeah, basically, the main reason many people are scared off of making new TASes is simply because of the dedication needed and that if they do make new TASes they will do games that no one has heard of and they basically get discouraged by it. =P Anyone can feel free to correct me but this is simply my impression of it all.

I do have to agree that the game was definitely downgraded to the Mega Drive (With worse graphics and sound) and I do go full ahead and say make an Amiga TAS but of course we lack the emulation =P And no, I haven't played the Amiga version but it does look and sound better.

I don't have the GMV as it is on my old hard drive, it was in no way optimized or even route planned anyway, considering it was made with slowdown (Part of the reason I accidentally repeat the menus).
