Hi guys! I just have downloaded an svn update of the BizHawk 1.11.6 and compiling in Visual Studio works ok when selecting x86 , but when trying to compile in x64 compiling triggers an exception in library slimDX. Any idea? Thanks a lot!
Not a bug, BizHawk does not support x64 building.

For those interested in playing back the TAS in Dolphin, the verification movie does not save to the memory card. You'll need to manually save it once the movie is done. Otherwise, it syncs fine.

Discord itself is quite nice, but I don't think it applies well to the TASVideos community as a whole. It'd be interesting to have a Discord channel for those who do want to use it.

I'm really excited to see this run although I would love to see the Oil Rig stage :P Sad that the music was probably turned off in the run for copyright.. Such a huge part of the game.
Sadly Oil Rig is Xbox exclusive in free skate/session mode only. As for the music, it's not disabled, just didn't add the audio track which had the music. It'll be in the final publication video.

Link to video Rio and Suburbia done. Might give Suburbia another run-through to see if I can improve it.

Oh this will be interesting to watch. I'd argue that I did some of the New Jersey stuff slightly faster (car driving, combo clearing), but you really surprised me with some strats I hadn't considered. Will watch the rest later Edit: I watched till 12:00 so far. I often see you gain super speed but then you lose it... Is there a cap where the game reduces your speed if you go too fast? Something like that also happens in f-zero GX. wtf @ jumping as high as skyscrapers
Car driving is pretty close, but I think the combo clearing is due to RNG. As for the super speed, the game caps how long you gain extra speed from skitching, it's just that when you grind after skitching it adds on additional speed for whatever reason.

The newest development version is generally recommended, but for TASing, you may want to use 4.0-5400 to avoid a current bug that makes frame advance unpause emulation sometimes.
Personally, I'd recommend 4.0-8735 or later because of the savestate memory leak fix. The pause/unpause issue did not really crop up for me that often and I could eventually get my frame advance to work properly after a little bit.

Both me and Samsara are unable to get the verification file to sync for us. For me it crashes, for Samsara, it desyncs around 26000 frames in when trying to suck up a green ghost.

I liked it, but I preferes the N64 run because it's 100%(I like 100% anyway)... Oh, hey, there is the same deal from the N64: #1701: emu's N64 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 in 06:26.77 How about story mode of Tony Hawk American Wasteland? ANd Classic Mode? Tony Hawk Pro skater 4? :) Niamek
American Wasteland Story is probably the most boring to speedrun, so I'm not going to bother with that one (May look at Classic). However, I do plan on doing THPS4 after I'm finished with THPS3 All Goals and Golds.

So no huge time savers over the real-time route so far? I almost attempted this once and gave up before I really even got started. TASing isn't for me. Also, you don't earn credit for the photo goal in Canada unless you end your run later.
So far all the major route changes I planned didn't really work out, but I did a lot of optimization to finish foundry a full second faster compared to your run. As for Canada, I'm going to rework it a bit as I can see some optimization possible. You happen to have the Tony Hawk Discord? I'd like to pick your brain a bit for this.
