Kadabra can actually be a decent main battle Pokemon after Gym 3. The reason I tested the glitch in Sootopolis was to see if it's possible to enter Cave of Origin early, and by the time you beat the 7th gym, it should be possible to feed Kadabra to lv 43 with all Rare Candies you collected on the way. Still, there doesn't seem to be a way to corrupt the tiles around Cave of Origin at the moment.

Every time I open a game with fbalpha2012_libretro.dll in version 1.11.7, an error with these texts show up. I'm using Windows 10 x64.

These show up when I try to record a movie. Did I miss any dll files, or is this just how Libretro cores behave at the moment?

Since you start with all equipments in Easy Scenario, it's a great idea to showoff some elves that would never be seen in any% runs of the original games. The biggest issue with this game is that you can't skip credits after finishing the first 3 games.

Wouldn't Fang still be the best choice even in 2P as long as the charge glitch is not banned?

What would the category be? "No charge glitch"? The path where Red Falcon is revived done on non-Japanese version will be very interesting since it resembles early Contra games. Have you ever considered using the PAL release? The European release of this game received the most changes of all Probotector games. The cutscenes are much shorter in PAL version, especially on the Chase/Fight path since the intro of final stage is entirely removed.

Which version are you using? I wonder what's new in 1.2.0. Rvlution.net is currently down.

Now I feel less updated.
Just checked. NrSMBW 1.2.0 was released in September 2016, at the start of the project.
...if that was the case, why didn't you check first to see if there was an updated release before carrying on with the TAS? The way I see it, you just winged with the version on hand rather than make sure that it was the latest version to date... I'd advise you to look into every matter and detail in full next time.
Version 1.0 was released more than 3 years ago, and version 1.11 was released at least 2 years ago. It's understandable that one would assume this hack is completely finished.

You're welcome. They were the exact coordinates on the map for Mossdeep City. About your earlier observation, it's interesting that the coordinate is not in that range and perhaps if you perform the glitch on a different map you can affect a different location, or I posted the coordinates wrong
As you can see from the comments of that video, the info about coordinates is incorrect on both his video description and http://glitchcity.info/wiki/Mail_and_Trick_glitches From what I have observed, the coordinates are different on different maps. In certain maps the glitch doesn't work at all.

Link to video I messed with the glitch shown in this video on Japanese Sapphire. Link to video First of all, you actually don't need to remove Kadabra's item for this glitch to work. I discovered another glitch in the process; if you choose CANCEL without finishing the mail, a glitched item with no apparent function will be generated at the position of the mail in your bag. I was trying to see if it's possible to enter Cave of Origin early. The map corruption doesn't seem to work on every map. The coordinates of the tiles corrupted vary between maps, but from what I have seen so far, they are always in a row of 9 at the upper-left part of the map when the glitch works. Which Pokemon in team you put the mail on does not matter. I don't know if there is any way to alter the coordinates of the tiles that get affected by the glitch or if there is any way to overflow the content of a mail.

Glad to see more actions from Zero. Yes vote. Would it be possible to exit the Boss Rush room with Zero zip if he was not damaged in Doppler 2?

That's why a pure frame comparison is possible between NTSC and PAL as long as text differences and lag are not involved.
And that's why an input file can help a lot because it shows the amount of frames instead of the amount of seconds.

Link to video http://tasvideos.org/Bizhawk/Libretro.html Maybe Libretro 4DO can run the 3DO version of this game on Bizhawk.

Wow, I didn't know there is a Chapter Clear screen for post-game Chapter 6! I probably just used pipe to leave the stage because I didn't notice the goal block.

Finally finished watching this run. It's as great as I expected from a run of the best hack of NSMBW. It's a shame that Hammer Bros suit is never used, but I hope they can be useful in 100% runs. Yes vote.

Maybe it only works on Japanese version? I doubt if this is even the same map you visit post-game, given that you have to restart from 6-1. BTW, the fact that you can't make the credits roll for a second time kinda makes it hard to define the end point of a 100% run.

Glad to see Red Falcon's true face around 12:12. Does this glitch work in 2 player mode?

Link to video It sucks that this doesn't allow you to enter 6-3 early, but it's an interesting sequence break nonetheless.

Link to video So I tried it on Contra 4. It's a little disappointing that even if Super C freezes, I still can use L+R to go back to the menu. There are several interesting phenomenons though. During certain freezes, I can still use L and R to scroll up and down the screen, but only background moves. I haven't been able to reproduce the situation where I can do what ever I want with memory, so it might get crazier if that part is reproduced. However, DeSmuME doesn't seem to emulate certain parts of PocketNES very well so the result might not be accurate.

Do you know what level of corruption this glitch causes? As a matter of fact, the playable Contra and Super C in Contra 4 are NES roms running in modified PocketNES. I wonder if doing this glitch in unlocked Super C in Contra 4 can corrupt the game out side of PocketNES.

Yes, you need all DK coins to save all Banana Birds. Even then, you can skip 32 Bonus Coins. I wonder if the true ending automatically gives you 105% or it only raises your completion rate by a certain percentage.

Link to video After 10 years of work, this hack of Pokemon Crystal will be released in December. This hack is made by Koolboyman, the same person who made Pokemon Brown(http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13481), with help of the others, including the people behind TPP. It's probably not too much to say this hack will be THE best Pokemon Gen 2 hack.

As shown in your 105% run (#2941: Dooty, ElectroSpecter & Tompa's SNES Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! "105%" in 1:41:39.80), it's possible to enter the 8th boss stage with only 52 bear coins and trigger the true ending. What would the completion rate be if that is done?
