Konami Man, Vic Viper, and Twin Bee increase your STR, INT, and LCK by 50 respectively. You start with higher attack than you would ever have in a run without this glitch.

[2749] GB Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 "game end glitch" by McHazard in 01:31.15 Glitching into a normally unreachable debug menu is not cheating. Using it in a "all souls" run will make the category meaningless so its only place is in any% runs. If "such a run could be a few minutes faster than '100% souls'", it probably will be much slower than your any% run since the difference in time between these two runs is a little more than 10 minutes. BTW, have you tried this memory corruption glitch in Double Pack? HoD received lots of bug fixes in that release so it seems impossible to do memory corruption from HoD, but as far as I know, 0 HP suspend glitch still works in AoS. Edit:https://tcrf.net/Castlevania:_Aria_of_Sorrow#4531 So you can just activate the ending directly?

So I started a Sisters Mode run. Here is the verification movie: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/33616556699131697 Here is the movie file of this run: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/33616783777443840 Link to video I used a glitch at the beginning to transfer certain items into Sisters mode (http://pileofsecrets.wikidot.com/portrait-of-ruin#toc28). Therefore, I start with much higher HP/MP and deal much more damage to enemies. The run is done under Hard Level 1 mode so I can kill as many enemies as possible without worrying about leveling up. I need to redo the first stage though because I got a bad boss pattern, which is determined when I entered the stage. Then there is a question for whoever is reading this. As you can see, arandomgameTASer's run from 2014 uses a trick that allows you to move downward a little faster than depleting MP. However, doing so makes you unable to attack enemies before you touch the ground. Attacking enemies is pretty much the only thing one can do to increase the entertainment value of the run. The amount of time lost by not using this trick is probably a few seconds in total. Should I forgo this trick to attack enemies while moving down?

If it's an any% run, it should be accepted for sure.

I made a verification movie file for anyone who wants to work on an Old Axe Armor run in the future. User movie #28601423233692735 I made it on top of the existing all bosses TAS, so it uses DeSmuME 0.9.7 with Advanced Bus Timing off.
Did you actually test to see whether it works all the way till the end? It starts to desync around frame 101000 for me.

Another surprising submission. Easy YES vote for improving an almost 10-year-old movie.

It's late to ask this question now, but is it actually beneficial to beat all stages before taking on the boss rush? The run would probably be even more epic if some of the stages are beaten after defeating Dr.D.

Link to video I was surprised when I saw this game of a 2014 movie on DS in Best Buy. According to Wikipedia, this is the very last official DS game. Just leaving it here in case someone wanna TAS it.

Link to video Finally TAS that showcase this glitch in Boss Rush. If there is a way to get out of Blackmore's room without the wing glyph, it will be a major shortcut in a new game + run.

Around 7:39, would it be faster if you make a jump to the left instead of activating the scripted walk as soon as possible?

This comes out of no where. It's amazing to finally see an application of the stair glitch. How is this route discovered? This run probably shouldn't obsolete scrimpy's run on JPN version. Maybe it should be branchless since this is technically the any% route?

First, we must forbid in-game suspending, which generally prevents data corruption, or "All Souls" run gets meanless.
Or you can borrow some rules from the Pokemon Red/Blue 'Catch 'em All' category, which prevents directly setting the bits related to having caught a pokemon and ACE but otherwise allows all glitches. Up to you which you want to do.
You don't need in-game suspending to corrupt data in DoS. "No RAM corruption" should do. This category is getting crazier. Easy YES vote. Hopefully this run will be the GBA TAS of the year.

It's specifically Nintendo who is really C&D-happy.
I actually think Nintendo is much nicer than Square Enix, which often sends C&D letter right before a project is released.

https://twitter.com/GoddessMaria15/status/756976034877145089 So GoddessMaria has started working on another Emerald run? Coincidentally, I was route planning for a glitchless run with Makuhita/Hariyama as the main battle Pokemon. If you are doing a glitchless run, would you like to collaborate?

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/In-game_trade I noticed an interesting in-game trade in this game. It's possible to trade a Emolga for a Gigalith on Route 7. Gigalith has the same attack stat as Excadrill, the main battle Pokemon in Challenge Mode RTA. However, Gigalith's move pool is not as good as that of Excadrill, and Gigalith is one of the slowest Pokemons. What might make up for it is that this traded Gigalith is guaranteed to have 31 as attack IV and Adamant(+Atk -Spa) as nature. 20 as speed IV is not bad ether. Boosted exp might help a lot, and there is no need to worry about disobedience. It is possible to get a Quick Claw by catching either Sandshrew at Desert Resort or Zangoose at Route 7. It's probably a good idea to test whether using traded Gigalith is faster than using Excadrill.

It has been almost another three years, and Gen 7 is coming out soon. I guess bond697 was trying to say Kaphotics's TAS was not legit then? It's a shame if that's the case. Guts is probably less useful if there is no way to manipulate each turn in a fight since it would be too much to make sure the player's Pokemon is not fully paralyzed and Quick Claw is in effect at the same time for the entire fight at once. X items might even be needed in some cases, and a TAS might not look too different from a RTA in this case.

I don't know when will Libretrohawk officially come out, but it might work even better for TASing than FBA does because of TAStudio.
