Do you have to get the golden armor instead of one of the four chips to achieve 100%? If this is the case, the run probably won't look too different from the one on SNES.

You have to explain why a password was used.

paosidufygth also uses the invalid password glitch (which also works on the SNES version). Laseki and I knew about this glitch for a while but it appears to have been discovered independently by GlitchMan and also independently by paosidufygth as well. Inputting a password that enables the intro stage but gives you any item or defeats/kills anybody, or a password that enables the Beam Saber but leaves any of the 8 main bosses or Zero alive, but is otherwise valid (PSX adds a restriction that the chip upgrades be consistent with a valid playthrough; SNES doesn't), will make a password error but update the status of Vile, Bit, and Byte anyway. Using this, it is possible to set Vile's status to dead (to get Beam Saber in Doppler 2) and skip Bit and Byte's fights as well as skip both Doppler 1 end bosses (as in, you enter the bottom room and warp out without fighting).

(2) using TM36 from the key items or balls pocket triggers some ROM code that throws a ball outside of battle, and apparently can allow you to catch the previous enemy Pokémon fought, which the player might otherwise not have convenient access to (there appeared to be an extremely low chance to catch something without RNG abuse at the player's disposal).
Does a Pokemon acquired in this way become bad egg?

if anyone is going to TAS this, I would recommend two things 1) Use the pc version as it has no lag and shorter loads (yes it works on hourglass, I am not TASing this because I have english patch which would not be allowed and I can not find a patchless download that works.) 2) Do NG+ for hyper dash and fully powered X
What's your configuration of Hourglass? I tried to run the patchless version but got stuck after CAPCOM logo disappeared.

Totally didn't see this coming. Is it not possible to jump over Kraid like in ZX497's NBMB run?

I got the notes for the credit warp from the_roth, the holder of WR of this route.
BUYING/ITEM PLACEMENT ROUTE FOR ACE Pre Mist - Don't Unequip Iron Glove Mist - Buy 2 x 13 Dancing Daggers (Should have 9 or 10 at end of game) Octomamm - Dupe Tellah's rod Before Damcyan - Dupe Change Rod (Equip x 3) At Fabul, Dupe Yang's Fire Claw fully and equip to have 255 Fire Claws left after Gauntlet At Mysidia, sell 52 FireClaw x 2, then buy 52 of things Buy 1 Paladin Shield, Arms At Baron town before Waterway BUY 72 Thunder Rod x 2 96 Thunder Rod 99 Ice Claw 1 Thunder Claw 1 Fire Claw SELL 65 Change Rod x 2 After Kainazzo, fly to Silvera BUY 1 Silver Hammer 17 Silver Hammers 97 Silver Hammers Before you start the Dolls, save and reset. You need to save before doing the 64 door glitch and killing the dolls/golbez as the credits warp requires that you fight an encounter. If you have to reset, you will need to grab the crystal after fighting golbez, otherwise ignore it. By end of Golbez, arrange items like this (starting on the 10th row) 9th Row is empty Ice Claw x 99 Rod x 2 -Sort- Change Rod x 123 Silver x 97 Thunder x 72 Silver x 17 Dancing x 9 or 10 Thunder x 72 Thunder x 96 Empty Empty At the very bottom of inventory, put anything/nothing Dancing x 13 Fire Claw x 151 FireClaw x 1 After killing Golbez, cast Warp, Head to 64 door glitch, second black spot down (with Sylvian Cave music), and enter pink room with falling sound. Face RIGHT, press A and hope to activate the ending credits. It isn't guaranteed to work.
He also said:
I completed my only attempt but have seen it fail on emulator. Others have failed a few times on snes. I managed to complete my inventory management during valvalis though, and didn't have to do any swapping during Golbez, maybe that was the difference. We're not sure sadly.
I also got two links from Pirohiko through PM about save corruption:

If save corruption and credit warp work well together, the result will probably be similar to Keylie & Kadmony's rejected FF6 run.

I agree that this mode of Stadium is more a strategy game, but I also agree that "Heavy Luck Manipulation" is a fitting tag, because isn't every attack used a one-hit KO attack with about a 33% chance of working?
Being someone really into RNG manipulation it annoys me when people bring up using that tag for runs that do nothing more than using savestates to manipulate the RNG. Is there no “Luck Manipulation” (not Heavy) tag? Edit: I kinda recall a “Manipulates Luck” tag…
The point of this tag is probably to tell the audience that the movie looks a lot different from RTA runs of the same game due to luck manipulation, not how hard it is to manipulate luck in the game.

Glad to see FF6 getting more and more broken, possibly the most (visually)broken one in the series. Are you interested in making a FF4 run that uses Mid-frame reset warp and credit warp?

Does collecting the first 7 Shine Sprites in Pianta Village before raising the plaza statue change the cutscene sequence in Delfino Plaza?

In fact, it is possible to access Pianta Village before starting Bianco Hills by Wall Jumping to the top of the Shine Gate and entering the Warp Pipe that leads there (the small cutscene that zooms in on the Warp Pipe may not show).
Are there any videos that show this phenomenon?

A good example of this is the fact that in most countries, only men are required to serve in the military. I find this unacceptable in a modern society, it should either be mandatory for anyone or no one. Everyone is well aware that this is obvious discrimination, yet it's still ignored around the world, it's just that one thing that "doesn't count". .
Just like most things feminists complain about, it's all based on the fallacy that things should be in any way equal between sexes in the first place. Men and women are different (by definition), and any good scientist will tell you that if you use different input, you'll get different output. Men are physically stronger than women, have more testosterone, and actually have a mindset which facilitates aggression. Women's bodies are smaller, weaker, have less aggression hormones, and have a mindset built for nurturing our species versus destroying it. Needless to say, that makes women far less suitable for the job of fighting. Society figured this out thousands of years ago, nature itself figured this out millions of year ago, what's taking feminists so long? So not only would you be hiring less suitable people, but it's bad for population growth as well. You can use a man for the army, while his pregnant partner remains at home. If the father dies in war, np, the pregnancy can still continue and our population can sustain itself. Now imagine the man staying at home, and pregnant women marching into battle (waddling into battle?). If the woman dies, so does the child, and thus the population CANNOT sustain itself if we use women for the job. That's not 'discrimination' or whatever, that's just the way biology works. EG 1 man and 5 women can have 5 children simultaneously. 5 men and 1 woman can only have 1 child simultaneously. The two situations are NOT comparable, and thus there's no reason whatsoever to suggest there should be in any way an equal representation of both scenarios. Equality is a lie, please don't fall for it.
"Equality does not mean everyone gets the same thing because we are all inherently different. Equality is recognizing differences and making sure everyone gets the same opportunity based on those differences, which isn’t always 'equal'." This is something I saw on the Internet some time ago, and it's one of the best arguments I have ever seen. "Equality" is surely an overused term. Sometimes it's used to mean "fairness", and at other times it's used to mean "being the same." These two things are completely different.

Pinna Park 5 skip is a major improvement over that run. There are probably lots of minor improvements as well.

Can't wait for the finished product! It will be nice if there are subs for the English names of all the items. How much of the game is done by now?

That method is actually used in this TAS by hellagels:http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm28017171 However, running away from Shadow doesn't clear the flag that makes you unable to save because the game still thinks you are in a boss fight. This TAS does it only because it's a "Lowest Kills" run. Unless there is a way to warp to the room before the Maxim's Ring cutscene from Clock Tower, fighting Shadow would be faster.

There doesn't seem to be any legit DRM-free version of the remastered PC port from 2012. Using Hourglass on this version is probably out of the question. http://forum.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?115146-Final-Fantasy-VII-PC-Game-BOX-variations The original PC release has 4 disks, including one for installation. It can't be run in windowed mode without patches. Therefore, this version is probably incompatible with Hourglass either. Even though the rerecording version of JPC is said to be only compatible with DOS games, it still would be great if the up-to-date JPC can run this game. Hopefully switching disks won't be a big issue. Maybe the Windows version of Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure can be run in a similar way, too.

The original PC version was released in 1998, a few weeks before Windows 98 reached general availability stage. You are probably talking about the re-release years later.

The GitHub page of JPC states that the emulator is "capable of booting Windows up to Windows 95 (and windows 98 in safe mode) and some graphical linuxes." Would it be possible to run the original PC version of FF7 on JPC?

Is the published movie using one player only because of the limit in tools back then? I wonder if it's possible to use the same tactic from [983] NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project "2 players" by Xipo in 30:30.87 to trick the game into thinking there is only one player while generating the boss and beat the boss with two players.
