How different would a TAS of English version be from this run? I wonder how mush faster it can be compared to the very first published run despite having less glitches than Japanese version does.

I'm a little surprised that this run is still almost an hour longer than the Paper Mario run. This is the sequel after all. Yes vote. Possibly Nintendo 3D TAS of the year.

Congrats! What's the earliest possible point in the game to use this setup? BTW, what's the reason that "no sketch glitch" runs choose to recruit Celes? Is it because not having her in the party will waste too much time in the end?

But why is it called "0 stars" at the first place? Shouldn't any% be branchless?

It's about time. Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30927243447445594 The route will be mostly based on ISM's TAS on Nicovideo from 2012(http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17956615). The only big difference will be S3 green early, which allows the player to skip N4 green. I tried to make a lua that shows Wario's position with the addresses from the game resource page(http://tasvideos.org/GameResources/GBx/WarioLand3.html), but the numbers I got from those RAM locations don't seem to be the coordinates. What did I do wrong?

That video is for the second game, but the "Too Much Damage" glitch is from the third game. Are they related? What are the possible methods to deal such amount of damage to an enemy?

I guess Ridley and Mother Brain fights are the biggest drawback of this route, just like in the current "low%, Speedbooster" run. It's a shame that 13% PB-Ice is one of the route that require missile underflow.

I tried to run Donkey Kong with fba_libretro.dll. The game runs fine under RetroArch when the content is named dkong.zip, but the entire screen is glitched under Bizhawk. How do I configure the controller? There is no options for Arcade games under config/controllers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7lpaRkAtLs Werster finished Platinum any% RTA. It's really impressive to see Tentacruel as the main battle Pokemon. Some time ago I did a test with Turtwig/Starly/Floatzel. Getting Lv41 Floatzel at Route 222 is a lot less out of the way than getting Lv40 Tentacruel at Route 219, but you can only get it after beating the first three gyms. Floatzel's leveling rate is much faster than that of Tentacruel though. Another thing is that I thought skipping Veilstone gym was impossible when I tested that route. It might be necessary to reconsider whether any% is the same as the first part of R2E4 any%. Werster's comparison shows skipping Veilstone gym saves more than 3 minutes in any%, but I doubt if it's worthy to bike to Snowpoint City and go through Victory Road again after beating the game for the first time.

https://tcrf.net/Super_Mario_64_DS#Regional_Differences Does Korean version have anything different other than the removal of mini-games?

It seems the notes on ISM's run from 2012 mentioned N4 green, which is the only new skip featured in current RTA WR. Could anyone please help translate this text? The time spent for S3 green in vlackSR's WR is longer than the time spent for both N4 green and S3 green combined in ISM's run, but I'm sure the time spent to skip N4 green can be more optimized in a TAS. Don't know if anyone has tried fat Wario clipping at the left wall of the very first room in N1. I wonder if there is any chance to get into the black area below the boss fight room and teleport into the tree. If Rudy's hand is considered a heavy enemy, the only chest can be skip is E3 green even if N1 blue early is possible.

It's your time, so it's completely up to you to decide how to spend it. The most important thing is whether you enjoyed the process and the product yourself. With all due respect, if you spent hours "replaying the same ten seconds of gameplay" only to make people think you have done something extraordinary and started to wonder "was it worth it?" just because someone doesn't like your movie, it might just be not worthy after all.

Why didn't you use the combined bsnes/Gambatte core (which lets Gambatte handle the GB part)? bsnes's standard GB(C) emulator is garbage (and I do mean it).
Thanks for telling me this! I thought SGB was supposed to be emulated completely under SNES mode. Duh. I tried the very first clipping for both SGB mode and monochrome mode, and they work the same. The GBC version doesn't behave differently under SGB mode ether. Therefore the conclusion is that SGB mode does not affect the layout of a glitch hell in a rom.

Link to video Frame war, I guess. https://dkcspeedruns.com/DKC2_102%25 BTW, should the branch name of current 102% run be changed to "102%, all DK coins/video game hero" since DK coins are not counted into game completion rate?

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30702689816176331 I tried to reproduce the current any% run on lsnes since the SGB mode in VBA is probably not accurate enough for a glichy run like this(http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13623). However, I couldn't get into the wall at the first place after copying the input. What am I doing wrong? SGB2 is used as the bios since SGB1 has inaccurate timing.

Link to video It's interesting that the author mentioned Dooty's PAL version TAS in the notes.

I guess he's trying to say it's possible to do it at that specific spot. So you can't clip into the final stage with camera glitch outside of the 50 Star door? Then, is it possible to clip into Wario's stage, save him, save Luigi if necessary, and skip the endless stairway with rabbit clip? Just skipping Mario is still kinda fun.

Yes. The point of those questions…?
Just wanna know if it's possible to complete the game with only Yoshi, leaving aside whether the caps are spawned at the Bowser fight.

http://www.mariowiki.com/Super_Mario_64_DS#Rabbit_Locations It says there is a rabbit for Yoshi at the basement. Is it possible to get into the second boss fight by doing rabbit clip with Yoshi? Is it possible for Yoshi to skip the infinite stairway without rabbit clip?

It's not bad to complete the Pokedex for Yellow though since it has much less things to do compared to the Gen 2 games and it's different enough from R/B. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17766&start=25 Right now Bizhawk can support only two games in DualGameboy mode. Using 6 game might not save too much time since the run is still bottlenecked by the one that's going to Mt. Silver.

I think the best version combination would be Yellow, Gold/Silver, and Crystal. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Game-exclusive_Pok%C3%A9mon As shown in these charts, all Pokemon that are not in Yellow are in all Gen 2 games, while Vulpix(in case you choose GC) and Mankey(in case you choose SC) can be found in Yellow. A key difference in Crystal is that Sneasel is found at the Ice Path instead of at Mt. Silver, and Larvitar can be purchased at Celadon Game Corner with 8888C. This Larvitar is at Lv40, which is much higher than the level of any wild Larvitar you can find at Mt.Silver. However, Misdreavus is only available at Mt. Silver in all Gen 2 games, thus it is the bottleneck of the run, just like Mewtwo in MrWint's R/B 150 TAS. The best plan is probably to have either G or S rushing to Mt. Silver by getting all Kanto Badges and C collecting legendaries(since you have to revive three beasts any way) and getting coins in Celadon Game Corner for Larvitar. It might be a good idea to use the Yellow rom from 3DS VC so you can play the surfing minigame in case there is much free time.
