I just remembered Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is an XBLA game and now I want this more than anything else in my life. vvv EDIT: Yeah, I wouldn't expect TAS tools to even be started until maybe a year or so after Xenia gets to a really functional state, let alone implemented. It'll be a long wait, but it'll be worth it.
Are there any rr emulators for XBOX at this point?

Get 100% souls (not counting Hellfire) and then kill Chaos. That should do it. And I think it would be accepted, I've had a hankering to make one myself but I don't really have the experience to plan a decent enough route. Good luck!
I think you are talking about DoS on the Hellfire part.

I tested the route I posted, and it didn't work well ether :( You have to suicide for once after returning to Catfish's stage after defeating Vile to make Byte appear. Another route I tested earlier is going to Seahorse's stage to get foot chip right after beating Tiger. The same issue applies here.

It seems this game runs pretty well on PSXHawk, although it's not finished yet. The save function of the PSX version of MMX3 makes it possible to fight all the bosses without using passwords. I came up with an idea of an "all bosses, 100%" branch and an possible route: Rhino Buffalo Tiger (Bit) Hornet Seahorse Doppler 1 (Godkarmachine O Inary) Doppler 2 (Vile) Save&Reset Vile Catfish (Byte) Doppler 1 (Press Disposer) Doppler 2 (Volt Kurageil) Re-Rhino Crawfish Beetle I put Seahorse before visiting first two Doppler stages for the first time because it might be a good idea to get the leg chip to enable double air dashes instead of getting the golden armor after everything else is collected. The only usful part of the golden armor is the leg chip anyway when you have the Z-saber. Featuring the blue/white armor till the end also makes the run look more different than the "100%, best ending" run on SNES version. I know Hornet's stage has an additional blocking sequence if it is visited before beating Beetle, but that can be counted as a boss, I guess. It's a kind of tricky to get Byte appear on the exact 6th stage. I tried another route one time and Byte didn't appear on Catfish's stage after beating Vile. It should be important to make Byte appear as early as possible so you can defeat the last two bosses with Z_saber. This is just a proposition, I don't know much about TASing MM games :/

Do the first three GWG games have any sort of credits?

All the waiting is absolutely. Good job on making the run only 15.6s slower than the current run despite including a new boss and being played in hard mode! This run will be my candidate for GBA TAS of the year for sure.

Does it mean Bizhawk users will need to wait till the newer mGBA core get re-ported in the further future?

If I remember correctly, pressing number buttons at the title screen is the only way to access levels 5 to 8.

WIP10 - the gathering Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23409808464398780 Fun fact 1: All five major eras are featured in this WIP. Fun fact 2: By the end of this WIP, this run is about 10 minutes longer than [2451] DS Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus by Hoandjzj in 3:22:12.63, the longest published DS movie.

WIP9 - the catastrophe Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23288527893123744 It sounds weird, but Crono is beaten within 3 hours. Yeah! There are more cutscenes than gameplays in this WIP, and that's why it only took me two days to finish it. I was planning to include the beginning of Lost Sanctum side-quests in this WIP, but I eventually decided to leave those for the future WIPs and end this one at the entrance of Lost Sanctum in 65MBC. Therefore the purists who deeply hate CTDS can just stop at this WIP and skip the next few ones that contain DS version exclusive stuffs.

WIP8 - the round trip Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23245398778184786 Falcon Strike makes the boss fights much easier. Speed tabs are precious so I decide to fight the Nus at Enhasa.

WIP7 - the antagonist of Prehistory Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23139374835433373 Azala is sort of a half-way mark for CT so about half of the run is done by now (and I did plan 14 WIPs in total). Grinding TP before Nizbel II like always. Nizbel II can be defeated quicker if I let Lucca faint, but it's vital to let her survive this battle. The exp from Nizbel II is just enough to giver her a level up, and the HP and MD after level up is just enough to make her survive Black Tyranno's strongest attack. Therefore she doesn't need Sliver Earring after all. It might be faster if I give Ayla's Ruby Vest to Crono at the shop so I don't need to open the menu to switch armors again before confronting Azala. Howerver, this would cause Crono to have lower MD during Nizbel II fight. Yes, it's faster to teach Golem how to use electric magics.

The first choice actually doesn't sound bad. DP has some good sound tracks. It's not a bad idea to close your eyes and listen to the BGM for a few minutes.

Nice improvements. YES vote. Isn't it ironic that 3-1 is the only World 3 level in this run that takes palace under water even though it's meant to be the beach world?

I guess LL run can be done on both versions and they will look different enough due to the introduction of Arena of Ages in DS version(which I forgo in my any% run).

^Yeah, I should’ve checked the FAQ. Apparently, Ocean Palace Lavos is beatable too, with a sort of NG+ LLG save (not on a first playthrough). The FAQ explains how and also links to this 2008 thread about it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/563538-chrono-trigger/42693858 That sounds mad cool. The FAQ also shows how to beat Pink Nu Specchio with the LLG party. That FAQ is actually really interesting. At the end it says “Basically the final party levels of 1 4 15 15 16 20 37 are the lowest possible withstanding the maximum level of scrutiny I can give it.” so it might be maxed out.
Facing pink Nu needs cheats, just like it says. The FAQ I posted provides a strategy to beat OP Lavos with Crono+Robo+Lucca, but the equipments it mentions are mostly from the late game of DS version. Apparently you don't get that by OP on a first time playthrough.

Excluding Magus reduces the average level of all the characters.
What does that even mean? Just because you don’t use him it doesn’t mean your average level is lower. So long as he’s unlocked and part of the party, he’ll be a part of the average level.
I believe he means fighting Magus at North Cape instead of befriending him. You can choose to kill him. I don't know if I should say it again, but getting Wallet at the beginning of CTDS can make this branch much less arbitrary.

Fighting Magus at North Cape surely will make the run more unique. Is it still literally impossible to defeat Lavos at Ocean Palace at lowest levels even with Green dream and the equipments from sealed chests?

WIP5 -The knights Slash and Flea are included. Link to video http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22957630199416533 I simply can't make Flea stands there like an idiot like how she is in the published runs. I choose to fight Slash first to get his sword despite of the additional bat scene before start fighting him.
