This is a wonderful addition to what I thought was an already wonderful Rockman run. I like how more and more messed up these rockman runs become. I don't mind the glitches because, to me at least, I think the idea behind finalfighter/bisqwit Rockman runs shifted sometime ago from "how perfect of a run can we make this" to "how fast can we make this while screwing with the game" (At least that's how I've viewed it as over the past year or two), and I think it's gotten to the point that people know what they're in for when they watch a Rockman run.

I enjoyed this a great deal. The playing of the songs as well as the mushroom juggling act were nice touches.

About hidden sprint shoes. This remember me about a trick/glitch which I read someday somewhere, maybe someone link a side from this board? Sometimes you can just press a button und you will open an invisible chest. It work most in doors or entrances. I never test it, so I not sure if this is real or was a joke. But I saw pictures where you get items in strange places. Maybe this trick/glitch is useful, when you get special or rare items.
I remember this being in Final Fantasy 2/4 with some regularity, but never with Final Fantasy 3/6. That would be neat if this were the case, though. It'd make me have to play this game all over again! Loved the WIP, by the way. It's a shame it desyncs for everyone, though. I cannot wait for more!

I've been following this run (albeit quietly) for quite some time and I'm glad to see that adelikat has finally finished it. It would appear the wait was definitely worth it, though, as I am extremely impressed by (a) the final time and (b) the amount of improvement from his first run to this one. Obvious "yes" vote and congrats for finally finishing this. : ) EDIT: Adelikat, after you win the tourney in Chapter 2, you step outside Endor (?) castle and a soldier tells you to return to another castle... then you walk outside the town and use a wing. Why didn't you use a wing in the town?

Out of the literally hundreds of movies I've watched here (and a lot of voting without commenting (sorry!)), I'd have to say this is up there with the best planned movies. An example of this was in Napalm Man's stage (and other areas). He shot two arrows: one to clear a projectile and at the same time refill his shot, and the other to travel on. I'm not sure if this was in previous Mega Man 5 movies (as I never watched any previous ones), but it certainly impressed the hell out of me. Voted "Yes."

Awesome, how much time has been saved thus far? Keep up the good work : )

Very well done, voted "Yes." Any idea as to why these graphical glitches occur? Along with the Iceman battle, there is also one in the Fireman battle at the very end. It's just a box of letters, but at first glance it looked as though it said "cold," but it's probably just a random mix of alphanumerics. After watching the movie, I SWEAR it says cold, like so:
DC
LO
But I also could be crazy. Also, how do you prevent from taking damage from the electrical beams right before the Elecman battle?

There are a few other things I thought I'd mention. You sail right by the Royal Crypt, and you have your 3 hardcore party members. Why not mosey in and whup a metal babble or three, which I think you can get in one fight.
Can you fight a metal babble in the very first room? I think you need the final key to get into the actual crypt.

You could manipulate the silver tarot cards to cast expel, therefore freeing up the hero from having to do so and thus allowing him to attack and save MP. It could be helpful later on to get some enemies out of the way in big battles. (Although admitingly, none come to mind)

You may be able to get nara to use the silver tarrot cards if you try either the "use no MP" or "try out" tactics in battle, but chances are "use no MP" will be more useful, as mara and hector would probably do batshit insane actions with "try out," but I think the odds of a character using something in their inventory is increased with one of these two tactics. edit: Can you even use tactics right now?

I like how the movie ends. Sort of a "how will he get through this?"-esque teaser. The only question I have is why did you buy those two or three heal potions (were they heal potions? I had it on increased speed so I couldn't tell)? I imagine running through the final dungeon with low health would be difficult, so is it sort of a "just in case" plan or what?

I like how the run is turning out thus far : ) Quick question: Does talon do his "special attacks" only during Chapter 5? If not, you could possibly use those to end battles faster. If I recall correctly, there is one where he trips and causes some large amount of damage to an enemy.

Ah, ok. I haven't read anything on the topic of running in at least a year and a half, so thanks for clearing that up.

Didn't the FF gurus at gamefaqs figure out that a thief has no better chance at running than other characters, therefore making his near worthless?

death stuff
I was under the impression that one needs to talk to a cleric in a town or a king in order for the "shortcut using death" method to work. It'll have to be tested to see if that whole saving procedure will be faster than just flat out leaving the cave and then using a wing (in chapter 2 at least).

Watching this brought back a lot of memories of playing this game nonstop for a few months. A few ideas to make it more entertaining:
-Somehow manipulate the computer's pitching to make more entertaining pitch counts, such as 3-2 or 3-0 and then come back to strike out the batter. -Have a batter attempt a deep sacrifice fly, like at the wall, with a runner on third, and gun him down with the super throw (if I recall correctly, fielders can have the ability to throw insanely fast to any base) -Use the super pitches more often and more creatively. I think there's a pitch that allows the user to slow down or speed up the pitch while its in the air. You can use that along with other pitches to make the batters look completely ridiculous. -Rare occurances in the game of baseball, for example a triple play, or one team throwing a perfect game until the last batter of the game, or something along those lines.
I imagine there are more ideas, but what you could do is something similar to what arc did for his Tecmo Football video and play as both teams at the same time. But for this video to be published, it'll have to be very entertaining to watch. I'm sure you can do it, though!

Do you know if there are any areas earlier in the game that could benefit from the "Ghost Samus" trick? This run is looking spectacular, by the way. Keep up the good work.

Impossible Mission for the C64. I played that so much as a little kid, then again sometime last year and I STILL couldn't beat it. In fact, I don't even know what I'm supposed to do except avoid scary robots and pick up stuff from vending machines. "Stay a while... STAY FOREVER!"

I watched it and liked it! I cannot think of any places for improvement, although admittingly I don't seem to have as much knowledge in this game as others do in the thread (I've been secretly and silently following it these past few weeks). Voted yes.

On the main site, it said that the "RUN" key on your keyboard had been broken (or something to that effect)... I seriously thought you had a "RUN" key on your keyboard and was about to praise you for using a Commodore 64. Stupid April Fools : /

#36: Nauseous and nauseated are simply not synonyms, and I'm sure Strunk is turning in his grave at her perpetration of this myth. Nauseous means nauseating, not nauseated. Almost all Americans misuse this word.
I figured I'd look this up on m-w.com:
Main Entry: nau·seous
Pronunciation: 'no-sh&s, 'no-zE-&s
Function: adjective
1 : causing nausea or disgust : NAUSEATING
2 : affected with nausea or disgust
- nau·seous·ly adverb
- nau·seous·ness noun
usage Those who insist that nauseous can properly be used only in sense 1 and that in sense 2 it is an error for nauseated are mistaken. Current evidence shows these facts: nauseous is most frequently used to mean physically affected with nausea, usually after a linking verb such as feel or become; figurative use is quite a bit less frequent. Use of nauseous in sense 1 is much more often figurative than literal, and this use appears to be losing ground to nauseating. Nauseated is used more widely than nauseous in sense 2.
