its TASes like this that make me wish there was like a "Cracked Vault" category where all the rom hacks and unofficial games could go. Good shit marzojr

This was fun to watch despite never seeing this game before kudos. Now if only I could find an mp3 of the overworld/battle theme... Yes vote.

Then wouldn't this TAS be better if it was made using savedata that has all the other character's breakthroughs completed? This way you can actually see the final stage.
Care to elaborate why you think that this would be acceptable?
Well as it stands, the TAS is less enjoyable than the any percent without much to gain aside from seeing the special stages played, hence my suggestion. Having save data with the other characters completed would actually give more substance to the run from a viewer's perspective because we'd get to see the final zone. That being said, I'm not too familiar with the submissions rules since I mostly lurk the genesis boards and watch WIPs lol. So I ultimately wouldnt know how acceptable this would be.

Cool run. Enjoyed it for the most part. I didnt really dig the aspects where you were completely still in the special stages for several seconds. I am aware that you collected max rings in the first 2 special stages, so I would have liked that for all the special stages. The times where you collected 300 rings exact were probably the least interesting ones and the ones after that were still pretty boring. This is probably more the fault of the special stage itself, but I dont understand why you'd keep completely still for so long so many times. It was amusing to watch the robot run in circles while you were still, but that amusement wore off very quickly. Despite that, its a solid run though you used a majority of Mukki's inputs. Yes vote overall, but jeez those special stages killed a lot of the fun for me after the first 2 special stages.

It's been too long since I saw some Sonic Hack TAS clips. I wonder what's been going on.

Hey all, I am back. About 2 weeks ago, I uploaded a TAS of Classic Sonic Heroes. In the TAS, I collect all rings in Green Hill Zone act 1. This is my new project, and I don't plan on optimizing the runs (because in my opinion, optimization down to mere seconds really doesn't change the experience or the entertainment value). Here is the TAS. Link to video edit: just uploaded Green Hill Zone act 2. Link to video
Wow. It's been a while since I came to this thread since activity has kinda slowed down, but I'm glad I did visit today. I wonder how progress is going because this is easily something I'm looking forward to.

My god. I lost my shit when you got the bounce bracelet. This is amazing. Hopefully a dark story is being done as well because I couldnt handle not seeing dark story broken too.

I feel that this movie is entertaining and boring at the same time. Magic.
For the most part I feel the same. I lean towards yes on the aspect that the normal levels were interesting to watch, but somehow it just do it all the way for me. Maybe because I'm currently more enthralled by Sonic 2 Battle Race

Let me explain you how different they are.
The thing is, I don't actually care how different they are, either. Amy has never been a 'gotta go fast' character like sonic, so her having a move like that in the first place is already detracting from it. I went in expecting something a bit more unique, I came out disappointed, there's not much else to say.
Well Amy's abilities are based on human play obviously. She doesnt go as fast as Sonic or Tails or Knuckles in the hands of a human, but in the hands of TAS, she becomes as fast as you saw. Even in the hands of a skilled speed runner, runs with Amy are going to be more difficulty and will probably average to be slower than a Sonic run or a Tails run. I do agree with you in the sense that seeing Amy go fast is less preferred to seeing a more unique run.

Great TAS. I was following pretty much all the WIPs you posted in the Sonic Hack thread. Very much enjoyed the super fast movement from Amy. Yes vote for me.

I dont even think Co-op mode works because of the fact that the portal gun is like loaded over tails or something. When you get to the cutscene of going to the death egg, the portal graphics are made up of tails sprites. Plus there seems to be no menu lol.

So before I try to watch this, anyone have any advice for dealing with the undf error with VLC for the mkv format? i want dat commentary.
Use MPC? I don't even like KH and I'm watching this for the commentary. PS: I know Hi-Res encodes are a thing for PSX/N64 and later systems. Since DeSmuME X432R is a thing now, will we be getting Hi-Res encodes on certain DS games? I tried Mario 64DS but got desynchs. So I guess someone will have to apply the patch to a TAS-ready DeSmuME build or something.
Ah forgot about MPC. Thanks! Still watching the video. Almost done. This part made me giggle.
Phase 5 took about 10,000 rerecords. He's that difficult."

While I can understand the reasons to vault it, I still had to say no. Pretty repetitive and boring, which is a shame, since when I saw this show up under WIP, I got real excited as a long time competitive fighting game player. Good job regardless. I hope you do a playaround run. Those are a lot higher in quality, I feel.
