Voting No because it looked very unoptimized to me. There are several miscalculated jumps, seemingly unoptimized boss fights, and let's not forget about what's been said about the obvious lack of damage-boosting and finishing with as little health as possible to speed up end-of-level scoring. Simply put, it could have been much faster.

Actually, wavedashing and the such were bugs. They fixed them for Brawl.

I haven't played SF Command, so I wouldn't know, but the SNES game was pretty much complete. You know, there was that leaked rom and all, which was about 99% playable. It's a pity that that game continues to be ignored by Nintendo. They could even put it on the Virtual Console with very little effort.

Releasing a 60 fps version of Star Fox would be very cool. They could do it on the NDS. They should also release the finished, yet unreleased Star Fox 2 game (SNES) while they are at it.

After getting several syncing problems, I finally got it working. Impressive route planning and massive sequence-breaking galore! Voted yes, of course. Oh! And I also vote for that "is it not a simple tas" screenshot as the one to use when it's published.

http://www.rphaven.org/gs/stuff/screenshots/ED-title.gif A very cool, metroidvania-esque platformer. Recommended. Also: - Lyle in Cube Sector. - Cave Story.

For people having trouble with the run make sure you use my latest builds of Mupen64 (AntiDS Mupen64 Rerecording V9). I've had easy success syncing this game.
So, where is this emulator? I tried searching the Mupen64 board with no success, by the way.

Sounds like bad ROM version, so either not 1.0 or not U.
Nope. It's 1.0 and U. The CRC matches too. It's the right rom version.

Can't vote. Movie desynched when Link tried to buy the Kokiri Shield with just 38 Rupees... probably because a couple of patches of grass gave out no Rupees when cut.

Voted No. Game is played very sub-optimally. Obvious mistakes everywhere. Missed punches and kicks, missed grab attempts, fails to press Down to speed up player's fall, doesn't beat any records (speed or score-wise), etc, etc. I suggest you watching this video, namely Comicalflop's high score run with Kirby, which is, in my humble opinion, a perfect TAS of this game: http://tasvideos.org/1379S.html In fact, I don't know why it wasn't accepted (I thought it was), since that run is not only very entertaining and simply awesome, but it's also as perfect as it gets.

I recently played Super Mario 64 DS on the latest version of No$GBA, and it worked just fine (except for a few transparency issues and slowness). In fact, I completed the game, getting all 150 stars and stuff. So, DS emulation is getting somewhere after all.

I don't know... I had lots of fun playing this game in the arcades back in the early nineties, and I remember it fondly. (note: the original arcade game is better than the Sega Genesis port)

According to JXQ, it is possible to scale a wall, however you have to do it 1 "block" (16 pixels) at a time.
So, doesn't this mean that getting to the Top Secret Area exit of Donut Ghost House as Small Mario is possible?

Cosmo is indeed an attribute. It determines the player's attack power. Also, the boss characters you fight at the end of each stage are all different (as evidenced by the small portraits at the top-left corner of the screen when they talk). But, yeah, they kinda look the same because of their poorly-animated low-res sprites. Now, some basic explanations for those unfamiliar with Saint Seiya. The four playable characters are: - Seiya of Pegasus (guy with white armor). - Shiryu of Dragon (guy with green armor). - Hyoga of Cygnus (guy with blond hair and white armor). - Shun of Andromeda (guy with pink armor). (there's a secret fifth playable character, but it only appears in certain scripted events. It's Ikki of Phoenix, and he appears briefly in this movie during the final boss fight.) The goal of the game is to get across all twelve zodiacal shrines, defeating their guardians (those guys wearing golden armors), to save goddess Athena. Now, in my opinion, this game is rather bad. It certainly doesn't do justice to the awesome TV show it's based off. I think the only redeeming features of this game are the title screen music and the Saint Seiya license. The rest is made of poor gameplay and overall poor game design. Oddly enough, I can't say I dislike this game... after all, it's Saint Seiya! :P Anyway, I think there's room for more optimization in this TAS. I wanted to vote Yes, because of the nostalgic factor and all, but I'm going to vote Meh. In a game like this, TASes need to be much faster to be entertaining.

Hmm. This is an interesting turn of events. So this TAS exploited an emulation bug? Has anyone checked it with a real game cartridge and hardware?

Megaman 3 desynced on me, but the other three played fine. There were cool moments, like one time when at least three robot masters were finished at the same time. It's a pity a gap started to form between the games after the first eight stages were completed. Megaman 4 and 5 started to lag behind Megaman 6, then MM4 behind MM5, and the distance became increasingly longer. I was anticipating the games being completed at the same time, alas, that didn't happen. It would have been awesome if Wily was given the last shot at the same frame in all four games, Oh, well. Still, I'm voting Yes for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence ;)

Watching this superb any% run makes me see how the current 100% run can be done faster. Yes vote.

Voted Yes. Also, I think beams shouldn't count in a 100% run, since they act like in NES Metroid (they don't make the beam increasingly more powerful, but rather replace Samus' current beam with the newly collected one. Also, if I remember well, you could get the different beams over and over). In other words, IMO, you should just go for the Ice Beam and skip the others.

Oh, yes. This video brought me many fond memories from my SNES days. It's nice to see this games' hard route completely owned in a TAS, since it was so dang hard (I only beat the hard route once). Heh, you dispatch the final boss, Andross, so fast we don't have a chance to see the devil face. Oh well, it was a great run anyway. Voting Yes, of course.

I guess 3D games aren't for everyone. Myself, I never had a problem with them. It might depend on what game you are playing. Maybe.

Well, 2D games are nearing extinction anyway. In one or two years, all games will be 3D, and textured polygons will reign supreme.
