I said theory, not fact, and I never said it was great. Perhaps I chose the wrong word, as I only wanted to convey something I observed. Of course it doesn't apply to every game series in existence. For example, I too agree with some of the preferences you listed, especially the DKC1/DKC2 one.
(However, I feel compelled to say NES Super Mario Bros. is still my favorite Mario game, and probably my all-time favorite game ever)
Eh, whatever.
Other people's preferences can't affect you in any way. Or at least they shouldn't. The fact that some people hate Metroid Prime -or any other game I like for that matter- won't make me like it less.
EDIT:
All right. I guess this "observation" only applies to very specific cases. Such as my liking of Megaman 4 and Super Metroid as the best Megaman and 2D Metroid games respectively.

I have a theory.
My theory is that the order of preference in games corresponds to the order they've been played. For example, Mega Man 4 was the very first Mega Man game I played, and it's thus my favorite episode in the series. Super Metroid was the first Metroid game I played, and it's still my all-time favorite Metroid game. I know you played Wind Waker before Ocarina of Time, so Wind Waker became your first 3D Zelda experience, with all that means (discovering the expansive world, gameplay mechanics, targetting system, etc.). Playing OoT for the first time after finishing (and falling in love with) WW diminishes the experience of playing OoT, exposing its technical flaws and stuff (just like playing OoT before WW -the intended order- diminishes the experience of playing WW, since you already know more or less what to expect, and the sense of wonderment is lost).
OoT, although not perfect, is still a great game today; but it was absolutely awesome back in its time, when it was first released; a time where the Game Cube didn't yet exist.

I don't know if this is old news, so I apologize in advance if it is so.
Anyway, here are the GameShark codes to unlock the Arwing in The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64.
Input the codes, start a new game, exit Link's house and voila!

I wondered about that the first time after defeating the Iron Knuckle at the Spirit Temple (child), then it made sense when he had Link commit suicide so that he was warped back to Link's House.
Amazing run, by the way. I went WTF when I saw Rauru stating that all Sages were awakened when only two were! Way to sequence-break! :D

Well, after watching it with the right rom version, I can say there are obvious flaws all over the place, and button presses were never done at the earliest possible frame. Never. Not even once. Not to mention the highly questionable decision of not skipping the overly long intro sequence.
Then again, even if it were played perfectly, there's no getting around the fact that this game is hideous -and this is coming from a Saint Seiya fan.
I have to vote No.

Umm... Not skipping the rather long intro sequence, and waiting for the title screen to come up again will most certainly be the doom of this movie.
EDIT:
Okay, the first battle looks like it was recorded in real time, non-tool-assisted... then -apparently- there was no more input, and the game went idle for as much as I fast-forwarded...

Well, I've just checked, and to my utter surprise, the latest version of MAME does indeed have support for all of those newer Neo Geo games such as Metal Slug 5, Samurai Shodown V, Power Instinct Matrimelee, and some others.
Hmm... *waits for Kawaks to be updated accordingly*

Very well played. I especially liked Popeye moving around his arch nemesis (Brutus?) all the time, constantly defying all sorts of dangers. Lots of nostalgic value in here too. Fun and entertaining, I found this movie to be. *thumbs up*

Metal Slug 5, and KoF 2003 and above are deemed too new, therefore, emulator developers don't want to officially add support for them yet.
As for Metal Slug 4, I think MAME has recently added support for it.
Wait... Final Burn Alpha is still an ongoing project? I thought it was dropped years ago.

Um... these are NOT the Power Rangers. Sure, they look a lot like them, but that's because it's the same genre (the Super Sentai genre, which is very, very popular in Japan). The super sentai genre consists of a super heroic squad of generally five people dressed in alike suits, each of them associated to some color (red, blue, white, etc.), and they tend to make lots of poses when talking and all. Power Rangers is just one of those series, but there are lots more in their country of origin -Japan. And they all look so similar that sometimes you'll hardly tell the difference between them.
Here, I googled Jetman and found some more info on this series:
Anyway, I originally played this game in 1992, if my memory serves me well. I knew nothing about the Power Rangers nor the Super Sentai genre back then.

Whoa... you just hit my nostalgic string there.
I remember playing this game as a kid, long, long ago. It was borrowed. Back then it was a nameless game, since none of us ("us" being me and my friends) could read Japanese characters at all. Time passed, and the game got lost. Several years later, when I learned about emulation, I tried looking for a ROM of it, but all attempts were unsuccessful, since we never actually got to know how this game was called! It was kind of frustrating.
Until now.
Thank you for unearthing this cool little obscure game, and revealing its name in the process, which was all I needed to find the rom. Thank you for allowing me to retrieve yet one more part of my childhood.
As for the run, it was great. There were no mistakes as far as I could tell. Voted Yes, of course ;)

The GBA BIOS is that little program that's within the hardware, which contains the little "Game Boy Advance" logo animation that plays immediately after start-up. It also has the GBA's basic input/output system (hence BIOS).

Cool video, though I would have preferred if it had the original game soundtrack. Anyway, watching that difficult game being owned like that is awesome. I always thought Capcom's CPS1-2 beat 'em ups were impossible to beat with just one credit.
Hey, were those special credits after the ending sequence?

It's true that the Metal Cap is not necessary to get all stars. "Through the jet stream" can be obtained just by diving at the right angle toward it. As for the underwater switch in Hazy Maze Cave, it can be pushed by butt-stomping on it. The problem is getting the 8-red-coin star in the Metal Cap area. It's possible, yes, but definitely much slower without the Metal Cap, because of the water current.

Umm, thanks, but actually I was talking about a video showing a new technique involving the hippo in Ring Man's stage, discovered by Shinryuu; namely this file https://files.tasvideos.org/bisqwit/megaman4-hippo-shinryuu-v2.avi
I can't watch it, and people keep saying how impressive and time-saving it is; naturally that makes me very curious about it, myself being a big fan of Megaman -this episode in particular.
