If anyone is still working on this speedrun for Skull Man's level after switching to the balloons, I recommend keeping it switched there instead of Ring Boomerang. I think it's a big time saver so that you won't have to waste all that time climbing ladders and you'll save about a second not switching weapons. Also, there might be a zipping glitch near the end of the first section.

For some reason I feel like I have to redo the stage 2 boss fight (mostly because I'm having trouble tryinig to luck manipulate the flamethrowing enemies at the beginning of the next stage and I think randomness carries on to the next stage for fortress stages). Plus, it looks really laggy at some parts. I think I'll go ahead and post the WIP after stage 2.

Awesome! I really hope this makes it on youtube! I saw my WIP on there already and it looks great! I really want to see what my whole run looks like on there when I finish it!

I just did the calculations and Shinryuu arrived at Mr. X Stage 3 1095 frames slower than I did.

I have done the calculations and I will lose a total of 5.5 seconds and all I have to do is see if I can make up all that time in Magnet Man's stage by using the Rush Jet.

Yes, I do plan on finishing this. I'm at the beginning of Mr. X's Fortress Stage 3.

I'm going to make a Mega Man 3 speedrun! This time I decided to start with Hard Man then go to Top Man then Shadow Man. I chose this route because I found a glitch that allows you to access the Rush Jet early. After you beat Shadow Man you highlight his weapon in the weapon switch screen then you press right then start. The time is made up by using it in Magnet Man's stage.

Now that you're done with that level, I have a strategy to skip the last enemy in room 4 of Gravity Man's stage so that you won't have to take damage from it. Keep sliding until you get to the ledge then jump on the ledge and slide backwards and so as far to the left as you can so that you avoid the enemy.
If you had watched either the movie I uploaded in this topic, or that I sent you through PM, you would have noticed that I already skipped this enemy in those wips.
That's cool. So, how far are you on your run now? Oh, and don't forget to look for as many opportunities for zipping glitches as you can (I'll even help you look for some)! I know you can do it! :)

I watched it and I liked what I saw (please go ahead!), except for the Windman boss battle. I just don't like the random floor-scrubbing act / leftright act. I don't particularly enjoy people with ADHD.
I'm glad you enjoyed my movie! :D And about the floor sliding during the first boss, I had to do that to speed up charging my weapon. I'm still on Plant Man's stage (I'm on the last section). I'll post that WIP when I finish that level.

Because you have tags you inputted there. I am not annoyed but I've ever never before seen any persons acting like you :D Are you from a different dimension, galaxy or planet?
Nope, sorry. Also, I haven't seen you around here in a while. Did you get to see my speedrun? :D

It's looking very nice. Are you using subpixel RAMadresses to optimize the sliding? And a lag adress to minimize the lag? I think these are vital for getting the TAS to be absolutely perfect. Also, you should consider using FCEUX. The fcm file you posted syncs just fine when it's converted to fm2.
Well, I am using the subpixel address. I'm just really good at optimizing lag by doing the sliding and stopping technique. I hope you liked the new strategy I used for Flame Man's stage. :) I'm going on to Plant Man's stage now. I'll post a WIP when I'm done with that stage.

What's this?? A wip?!? Either way, it's a very nice wip, and indeed 33 frames faster. It seems that you were right about that slide cancelling... it looks really faster and awesome. Shinryuu was a frame faster in the second room, but in all others mega_man_3 was faster. I wouldn't be shocked though if a few frames could be shaved off though. At some moment in the level, mega_man_3 had 6 more lag frames in total than shinryuu... at the end of the level this was only three though. Either way... nice to finally see a wip... makes me even more curious about that megaman 5 wip.
Thanks! I'm so glad it finally works now! I'm glad you all like it! P.S. Are you still working on your MM5 speedrun?

Oh, but I already uploaded the movie last night. I can't find the link for that one. I closed out the page right after I uploaded it. Does this mean I have to upload it again?
