Just jump up on one wall, I can't alternate walls either. And also, I don't like this game either, maybe you should just stop playing, if you havn't already that is.

I've also encountered a few rooms with walljumping walls on both sides, but i can't seem to get up there, always landing a few pixels below the other side.
Have you tried jumping up on one of the walls, or are you still not high enough, then maybe you need the high-jump boots.

I wouldn't know if anyone would find it hard, since it seems like I'm actually pretty good at Super Metroid. When I play video games I usually kill as few enemies as possible, since it will let me progress faster, maybe not everyone plays games like this. So I never run out of ammo.

If you post yours, it'll make it easier for the next runner. :)

Damn, maybe you should try jumping over it and avoiding the shots through morphing into a ball. Also, a save point wouldn't really help would it?

They're everywhere.

To watch someone else play, maybe. I'm too busy backtracking, checking the map constantly, reading my HUD, and getting lost to have fun watching the pretty visor effects.
Once you know the map, and maybe like me know all the locations of the 100 items, and also every single speed trick, you're gonna enjoy blasting through the game in just a little over 1 hour in-game time. Watch a speed run and imitate, I don't know about you, but I actually prefer playing games I know, for some reason I hate the whole "exploring part", since I usually end up getting lost.

I just played through Super Metroid, again, so I'm kinda satisfied and wont have to play more this evening. Also, I can use my left hand again!

Yeah, people kept telling me this about Metroid Prime, too.
The difference is that Metroid Prime is awesome from the beginning to the end. About this game, I wouldn't really know, I don't like it, so I probably wont finish it.

The Tony Hawk games would be interesting, if the goal was to complete every task on each level in one attempt (hell, maybe even one huge combo!)
I had this idea a couple of months ago, but then I realized that Tony Hawk games on the N64 looks like crap.

I think you need 4 tanks to get through. You can start with 3 though.
There's an energy tank on the way to the Ice beam? Where? Also, I'm tired of looking for a way out, where am I supposed to go after I picked up the Ice beam? And on a third note, I got the Ice beam with 3 energy tanks, without ever having seen the place before, and I don't use savestates. It's not that hard, is it?

I'm going to do a 100% speedrun to send to SDA as soon as I feel like I've reached my limit in how good I am, right now I usually can't play through the game without screwing up, but I want a video to be as good as I can possible make it, because the 100% video at SDA wasn't very well planned or executed. We'll see how that goes, but I guess I'm only good at Super Metroid because of the number of times I've played through it, right now I don't know if I'm that good, because I havn't played in a while. Also, I believe I did a 57 min video with SNES9x, I might be able to find it. (I didn't have an american copy of the game at that time.)

Also, haven't you beat all the Metroid Games in about 7 hours?
The total time was in the total metroid time board topic, I don't know if it's there any longer, but you might be able to find the exact time there.

By the way, it wouldn't be possible to like save what parts of the memory I was watching, because it's kinda tiring to re-enter 10 different codes everytime I'm working on a TAS. I havn't found a way to do so.

I can't read that, my IP's banned over at Metroid2002, maybe you could tell me what that says instead. Also, I thought bombs were going to mean freedom, guess I was wrong. For me, this is Super Metroid without all the things that makes Super Metroid what it usually is, the game I can speed run several times a week without getting tired of. Even then, I must say it's an impressive effort by the author, if only I could progress. ;D Everywhere I bomb there's always a Super Missile door behind the wall.

It's okay, most people are usually having a hard time figuring out what I mean when I write posts on internet forums. So I guess it's more my fault, or something like that.

The difference between an order and a request to fix something is quite big, to me it seemed like you thought that Luke's was obliged to fix this bug. I'm not making an assumption, I'm just telling you how I felt when I read your posts. I'm not the only one that thinks that way. That I know.

I did use frame advance for that, it doesn't mean I'm good at the game. Also, Saturn did a better Ceres station before me, and I did a better Ceres station than that before JXQ did his.

Who are you replying to? I believe everyone has read the readme, since it would be kinda hard to play the game without doing so.

Well, my incredible ability to always get lost struck, so I can't get anywhere, I must be the best player ever of this game, getting lost after like 20 minutes with no hope of returning where I came from.

I have a fair amount of disbelief in this statement.
Why?

You're generally not supposed to walljump off of just one wall :P though it is incredibly easy to do with frame advance.
I can't alternate walls in this game, I always fall down, I have to do single wall wall jumps. Also, I hadn't thought of using frame advance, but that'll take too much time to use.

I must say that I don't like the gravity either, and wall jumping on just one wall is kidna hard too. :) And the fact that it's not possible to wall jump on every wall is kinda bad too. But after all I'm not too good at Super Metroid.

I have yet to find a modified version of MegaRockman 2 that I like. Also, watch if you'd like to, I was bored. Nothing special, but someone might be so bored that he/she wants to see it. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1118/Rockman%20Exhaust.fcm

I did a little movie of a thing in the Quickman stage, so I "played" up to that part, so I know how it looks now. And it seems like you've got to take some damage to not lose too much time.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1105/ http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1106/ Yay, or not. Fun fact: Everything after the ladder where I use 3 item 1's in the end of Air Man's stage is played with only 1 hand. One of the reasons to why it sucks, the other reason is because I don't know Rockman games at all, outside of console speedrunning that is.

I've only played the Heat Man stage and Air Man stage, it's pretty cool that the Air Man stage resembles the Wily1 stage in Mega Man 3 very much. :) Even though it would be very hard to speed through that stage, maybe scrolling the blue guys off screen to make them disappear would help. It's also possible to avoid half the Air Man stage using item1, but you probably already know this, maybe I should complete this game someday, since it seems to have gotten alot of positive feedback. Also, I havn't played the Quick Man stage, but is it not possible to use the flash stopper to avoid damage? P.S. You are forced to use items in Rockman 2's Wily stages too.
