There's been a bunch of crashing in FBA v0.0.3.01, like whenever I do various functions. There is another planned attempt at TAS'ing Blue's Journey in the works, but I can't work without a damn "Guru Meditation" error in my face!

There hasn't been a published game yet since #1291. We oughta get more variety put on this site, somehow... ...OK, why did you grind on monsters until your EXP read 22,610? All that level-grinding reminds me of the frustration I experienced when I was playing MapleStory a lot. Do you realize it takes an average gamer about 3 to 4 years to level up those characters to Lv. 200? Anyways, back on the subject. While it was stated obviously that the game wasn't being exactly faithful to the movie, it did follow some of the storyline from start to finish. There were some lag frames but those only happened during the screen blanking period (transition) I never expected turning into a blob partway through the game would get across the "mouth" trap would quash a game-breaking bug. There was this one time I played this game at a friend's house and I could never get past that damn thing. It's best to designate this movie is a "playaround-type", since the character always walks in this game, the screen takes a whole second to transition across each time p0rtal reaches the edges, and let's not forget about that level-grinding incident...

There's something missing... something that one unique Commodore 64 emulator has that should be applied here -- "True Drive Emulation". Since images may be stored on a hard disk it could cause unrealistic lag reduction from reduced load times. This speed isn't true to the spirit of the GameCube.

Mostly anyone using BitTorrent is encouraged to seed to maintain the torrent's stability. I'm not sure what this means by "blocking uploads". I would assume you'd want to ... WAIT A MINUTE!!!

You can't do that! You've created a time paradox! ... If you really want your clipboard cleaned when you start Windows, download CCleaner and have it run at startup.

It may be possible to run a demo run but I doubt the fan translation patch will be accepted. I would have to agree on the combo system, it's tougher than just hittin' them once back in Mother 2, sometimes with SMAAAASHing results. Right now I'm on Tanetane Island figuring out how to get those stupid gloves I can't seem to find out of those Orangutalruses...

Well, being that playing the input movie raw, and then playing it encoded, it really made things look up for this movie. I was so disappointed that the mathfun questions didn't appear though. But, it would have been better to have seen what question was being displayed before we saw what the heck was being put in, in terms of which sphere was supposed to be grabbed. I would have to give you 4.5 stars out here but I think Bisqwit might delete my image file if I posted it. On YouTube it's impossible to give half-a-star-ratings. You'll just have to settle for 4 instead. I'll rate entertainment and tech 9.4 and 8.8, respectively.

We'd much appreciate it back on #nesvideos if you'd turn Minor Edit on. It keeps NesVideoAgent's flooding to a minimum. btw, I hate small fonts too!

Well, obviously, I didn't like most of the crotch hitting. I mean, look at today's fighting games where lots of other women are ... kicking that place out of anger and frustration a lot. The least that you could have done is add more variety to your attacks, rather than smack the nuts of the guy standing in your way the whole time. If only the enemies just disappeared into oblivion, like what would happen with Battletoads' enemies. Now you wonder why most fighting game don't make good choices for TASes.

After trying for hours trying to get Mupen64-rerecording-v8 to work on my craptacularly sluggish computer, I finally got around to playing back the submission file. Sadly, some places still did cause the emulation to lag a bit, like sometimes the first explosion in the nighttime scenes of Mt. Snow would freeze things up. And there was an awkward glitch where the playing screen would just letterbox at stage 2-05. While I played this using different plugins, and Jabo's D3D plugin, I did try Rice Video Plugin 6.1.4 but it caused the movie file a great deal of desync. And other than that, I'm trying to look for a setting that made rocks appear on the screen during the opening cutscene for Mischief Makers. Unfortunately, the last boss only appeared as a dark figure. The only time some of its parts appeared was when Marina had to grab them to "shake shake" at it. Fortunately, this will all be fixed if the movie file ever gets published, but it would have worked best to do a speed/entertainment tradeoff run.

I've seen many a stunt pulled on various games before, but this is truly the benchmark right here. Butt-stomping to edge-grab at Yoshi Stage, playing a little lava ping-pong with Samus, and the way you avoided that crushing blow with Master Hand. There were also a lot of interesting enough quip's in there, like how you shoved Pikachu down the shaft between the Silph building and another building beside it, the timed beam-sword drops at Fighting Polygon Team, and the Mario Bros. fight was a bit crazy. Some interesting points to notice, though, the Link fight could have been improved. If he was close to the edge you would have down-spiked him. Something to follow up on the next time you, or anyone wishes to "playthrough" it again. Additional ratings: Entertainment=7, Quality=5

Ok, listen here, no further input will be recorded at all, and will not be recorded unless I find a way to get it into the movie file!!! Dammit

... You didn't watch Josh the FunkDOC's time-attack movie of Vice - Project Doom, have you? What I would have to do is figure out the hotkey to shift from play mode into record mode before I cause any more scenes. Since the movie was damaged, I discarded it, and all of the saved states.

I had completed up to stage 9-2. The savestate puts me in the room just moments before the boss fight with an eerie blue creature.

That's the point! Problem is, you can't "record" back to it without overwriting the entire file! You'd have to be able to append to it somehow

So, I was trying my hand at TAS'ing Vice - Project Doom. It took a long time for me to do it by, and I had just gotten to an area of stage 9-2 before the boss fight when FCEUX crashes! NOOOOOO! Well, now what? I asked the IRC channel about what to do about this and they said to set the movie to read+write mode and load the savestate I was at prior to the crash. So then I played the rest of the area toward the Stage 9 boss, and replayed the movie, but unfortunately it still played to the part I was still in the area before that fight. So now, I've given up... What do I do if I'm trying to TAS and a crash happens like this again?

It's supposed to be Game Title first, "TAS" next, then Author last. Is that what you meant? Ooops.

I thought it was a Ghost 'n Goblins clone the way Gadget would die if he was hit again without his trench coat. This is very much like the cartoon show, but this is the first and only time we actually get to see Dr. Claw in person ... Well, other than in the live-action movie. I don't like how Gadget literally "swims" in the air when he's using the Gadget Coptor though. Where's the handles when he uses it?

Funny, I thought someone just said the place was swarmed with spammers writing "VISIT MY OUTWAR PAGE" or something. Not sure how those people got past the challenge CAPTCHA.

When I logged into the IRC channel in the early morning hours ... being that it's the late night hours at this point in the United States, the channel topic was set on "The server is saved, but Widget turned blue! http://tasvideos.org/1186M.html"

OK, someone explain this. The server was saved... From what? I wasn't even up here when whatever happened, happened. The only likely things that would happen would be a DDoS attack, spam-bots, hackers, not to mention a lot of a whole bunch of nasties that cause a website some pain.

Yeah, well, I kinda figured that depended on what burning program you're using. So far I tried all three and they all left 2-second gaps in everything in one program, then I used another program and it was completely gapless from that point. (TAO leaves a little "pop" when the track changes.)

How do I make my CD's not have gaps in-between tracks, especially since there's not supposed to be gaps there to begin with?
