Beat or restart the level, flagitious. The Level Number flashes on the screen when you first start a level. (working on level 22 and getting dangerously close to the three-hour mark)

Yeah, level 12 was rather difficult. Level 13 wasn't too bad once I closed every program I had running other than King of Puzzle. Level 18, however, makes me cry as I stare blankly at the screen (exaggeration).

I'm currently stuck on Level 13. I can get the first red key and a second one without getting trapped by doors Any hints on how to get either a blue or green key without getting trapped by doors or stuck in an infinite arrow loop?

You'll want to do some testing to see if Defend+Double Attack or Double Attack+Double Attack does more damage overall. This may also be dependent on the Defense of the enemy you are fighting. Enemies being scripted to use magic is certainly a possibility, as Lejes is scripted to use Defense2 on you if he has the necessary mana and your Defense is not currently halved. Initial Stats are fixed for each character and cannot be manipulated. Also, level up stat increases are set sometime before the "Lux reached level 4" message. It seems that delaying the end of the battle for some time or a round allows new stat increase numbers to be determined, although it doesn't appear that the numbers are re-determined each frame.

This would be an interesting run, indeed. With luck manipulation, you'd be able to avoid most or all "random battles". Personally, I'd suggest LUX (the tetujin) and either Kamil (the warrior human) or Olvan (the dwarf) for their high strength and defense, choosing LUX over one of them for financial reasons. This will also facilitate a couple of the more frustrating parts of the game: (1) The Dragon guarding the Sky Rune: This dragon pretty much requires that you use Fire Magic on it, if I remember correctly. Olvan's or Kamil's Fire 1 (you probably won't have Fire 2 yet) will be helpful here, as well as any B Fire you find. (2) The Curse of Silence: Without Apprentices that depend on their magical ability, Metal Pison and the rest of this part of the game shouldn't be as difficult or slow. At first glance, it appears that Agility will be your most important stat, as dodging attacks completely will probably be a necessary tactic for survival. Defense + Double Attack will probably be your primary means of doing damage as well. Overall, I bet this game would make for an excellent TAS, and maybe not unbearably difficult to luck-manipulate. From my very limited testing, it would seem that dodging random battles and enemy attacks might be possible by pausing for X amount of frames while walking or before selecting "Attack" or "Defend". As enemies shown in the Crystal Ball reach the row or column you are in and continue approaching, they seem to make a >^>V>^>V> or similar pattern, so dodging enemies that are following this pattern might be as simple as timing your movement to pass them while they are one row (or column, as the case may be) to your side (pausing for a frame or few frames while walking may be the quickest way to do this). As for dodging attacks and ensuring that yours connect, the luck manipulation may be able to work out similarly. Try attacking (or defending) at a certain frame, and see if your attack lands and your enemy's (or enemies') attacks miss. If not, go back, and wait an additional 1 frame before attacking. I haven't tested this at the frame level, and even then, only to a limited amount, but I hope it can get ya started! P.S. Wilme gets no armor... except the loin cloth they added in the US version... and the only weapon he can equip isn't something I found until I read a FAQ. His magic is the weakest in the game, but now that I think about it, might be sufficient in a TAS in comparison to Olvan because of the increased Speed he has over Olvan. Good luck! </ramble>

It's entertaining despite missing the two really close jumps that are in the current submission. The third level is more entertaining without climbing as many ladders, so a YES vote from me.

The two player Bubble Bobble run is my favorite on the whole site. I love the game, and the run just blows me away every time I watch it. Also, despite the requisite 10 3/4 second wait between levels, it never gets boring. Amazing to watch, and artistic to beat! (hopes he explained his vote without drooling too much)

Not wanting this excellent publish-worthy movie to be forgotten, I'll throw my two cents in that this movie should definitely be high on the publishing-priority list!

I, for one, would love to see this movie done. I've not seen the other Eggerland movie yet (p2p blocked on my college campus' network), but I've played this Eggerland game, and I'd love to see some of the levels, especially the ones with the box in the bottom right, power played!

This is an amazing run of one of my old favorite NES games. My only curiosity was with the "hat" governor. It seems like a couple of seconds are spent waiting for a projectile from one of the "ladies" to explode so the governor would appear. Perhaps it would have been possible to shoot the top "lady" before the other two to avoid this? Of course, you probably already considered that, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Yes vote all the way!

*signs on the "own the game and can't wait to see it's speedrun" line* This is definitely high up on my "must see" list. Keep up the good work!

You can get to Lavos right from the millenial fair, no? or is that just in new game +. I think there are other paths to him between that event and the end of time too(unless those are new game + as well)
I'm afraid that those "shortcuts" straight to Lavos are New Game + only... they're the ways to see the other endings.

I checked... wasn't even close with the track name... The track I mention with the fall through glitch is "Jumpover" in the Bounder section

Do you have your executable file in the same folder as all of the ROMs? When the SNES9x movies started showing up on this site, I ended up putting all of my SNES9x files in the same folder as the ROMs I used in ZSNES in order to end this problem. Hope this helps! ~Healblade

I agree with MahaTmA, this would be a definite must-see for me. There are definitely a lot of tricks and glitches that can be expoited. For example, you can fall through the track at certain points. I believe that there is a track called "long jump" or something that it's not as hard to do on (I'm pretty sure it was a "clockwise" track with laps around the 4th circuit or so, but I'd have to get my SNES down to check). When you have a half pipe in the middle of a flat track (like in the stunt track of the crawler circuit), it is possible to make a moving-jump from off of one side of the bowl to the other and to "collision glitch though" the track, dropping straight down the outside right side of the half pipe. The trick to this is the little "lips" that protrude up on the sides of the half-pipe, and possibly the timing, speed, and collision point/angle. Another thing, I'm pretty sure the unicycles are all different in more than just color. If I remember correctly, the light purple unicycle can actually do a Flip moving on flat ground, notably on the very first track. I'm not sure if this would be faster or slower than doing Roll-Twists or not, but I would guess that doing Flip half the time and Roll-Twist half of the time would give you optimal speed on that track, based on the diminishing credit given for tricks on the stunt tracks. Also, it seemed to me that the White Unicycle (the one I used to play with) does twists more quickly during a tabletop than the Orange unicycle (that my brother used to use), but that may just be misperception on my part. ... I sure did like this game...

First post, let's hope it doesn't end up sounded stupid, heh... Excellent video, I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, I do have a few questions: (1) When battling Volt Catfish the first time, you use the item from Tunnel Rhino just over halfway through the battle. I understand that this is to interrupt Volt Catfish's move that gives him a lengthy period of invincibility. However, I don't understand why you only began using it then as it seems to deplete his health as fast or faster than the X-Buster. Is the item from Tunnel Rhino actually slower prior to Volt Catfish's low health attack pattern? (2) In the battle against Vile, why do you access the menu to switch weapons? (3) In the vertical shaft following Zero's near destruction, you pause before jumping to the final snail. Is this intentional or just a minor slowdown? Again, awesome video, very impressive, I would definitely recommend it.
